I loved the location as it was walkable to all the sites in central Bayeux. Ample free parking too! The breakfast was a good assortment of continental favourites. The staff was outstanding; always helpful. The accommodation was super clean, but for some reason, my room had a bit of a plumbing back up smell. It wasn’t horrible, just noticeable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. Comfy beds.

Very warm welcome by the reception staff. The hotel is 15-20 min walk to the city centre but provides free parking 🅿️ and extra paid breakfast

We liked everything about our stay here.

Upon arriving, we found the Hotel under construction and we were accommodated at their sister property the Belle Normandy. The same ownership has both hotels. We were treated like royalty. The rooms were large and brand new. The breakfast was excellent and the staff helped us a lot. We do not speak French and they helped a ton. we went to restaurants they recommended and had wonderful dinners. They helped us set up a tour of the Battle Fields and made sure we were comfortable at all times. No question we would go back to this same property.

Great staff and service, big and safe parking, good breakfast, good room

The staff was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. The room was clean, everything worked. And great breakfast. Really enjoyed my visit.

Great location close to all attractions and restaurants.

A gorgeous chateau set in beautiful grounds. Everything has been considered - comfortable beds, kitchenette inside what we presumed was another wardrobe, fabulous quality breakfast and clean and chic interiors. Beautiful place.

An old building brought up to modern standards. Very pleasant staff. Breakfast was very good. Bar is small, but we were there in February and in the summer it might be outside and less limited. The story of the place is great- it used to be a boys boarding school closed for a long time and a local guy bought it from the city and brought it up to modern standards. The first night we were there an alumnus (a local) was there with his wife for his anniversaire. He remembered it fondly, though he said the bath water was always cold.....

The location was awesome. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do.

The gardens are so beautiful. Charming place and nice people.

We spent 3 weeks in France and stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels. Villa Lara was our favorite by far. It's a feel-good place and the staff is exceptional.
