Located in Andernos-les-Bains less than a 5-minute walk from the beach in the city center along a bike path, Hôtel Villa Teranga has a terrace where guests can relax with a drink. Beautiful and peaceful, the perfect little hotel for a couple. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and very helpful with an abundance of local knowlege. we loved sitting on the quiet terrace for a glass of Bordeaux white in the evenings. We had the perfect stay and will be coming again soon!

Les Flots Bleus is a B&B offering an apartment in Andernos-les-Bains, a few steps from the beach.. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the public areas. The apartment was very nice and self contained in a shadey spot between the landladys house and her mums. It is literally 10 meters from the beach and a 2 minute walk from restaurants and bars so fantastically located. The apartment fairly simply appointed but great for a 3 or 4 day stay by the coast. The landlady was lovely and very friendly, as were her family who we also met one very enjoyable evening. We were also able to park our car which is always a big bonus. I highly recommend Les Flots Bleus and my wife and I will definitely be going back.

Very well equipped apartment with an excellent (nordic) standard. Strategically located at the Baie d'Arcachon with the Le Cap Ferret and the Dunes de Pilat a short drive away (or even with bikes available on-site). Probably the only regret was not having planned to stay a longer time.

There is a lot to do in the region.
There is a lot to do in the region. I was a bit afraid to visit out of season, but it might have been a good time to go. Less crowds and still the weather was acceptable and by comparison to other regions in France at the same time, probably better. We had a small rental car to get around and that made visiting easier with our very limited time. We ate fresh seafood at Chez Huguette and that was a good experience, though I think you could probably choose any seaside restaurant and get fresh and delicious food at a fair price. I would return again to Andernos-les-Bains, but next time I would allow more time.

A lovely seaside resort on the Arcachon bay.
A lovely seaside resort on the Arcachon bay. The sunsets were quite stunning. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants and a great weekly market. Felt quite an upmarket place. Quieter that nearby Arcachon but it is easy to visit. Beaches are only available dependent on the tides and so do not have any sunbeds etc so you would need to factor that in if you were thinking of sunbathing on them. If you love seafood this is the place to be but even on a week nights restaurant reservations are needed for the better places.

Beautiful views from restaurant at the front of hotel and sunsets were spectacular. The restaurant served the most fantastic seafood dishes with a truly efficient and friendly team of staff. The area had some beautiful walking and cycling opportunities.

We enjoyed our stay very much and felt relaxed despite the COVID-19 restrictions. The walking streets and boutiques were great. We didn’t visit at the best time due to the virus. But found delicious seafood and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Lovely little town with a couple of good restaurants. There are a number of activities you can do while in the area but I wouldn't recommend staying for more than 3 days as there is not much else to do in terms of nightlife.

Andernos Les Bain is a lovely seaside town on the northern edge of the bay of Arcachon and a great place to stay to explore the bay and the area. If you like seafood you'll be in heaven! We were there in July so very busy with lots of visitors and the roads around the bay are slow. Arcachon on the other side of the bay is much bigger and can be reached by ferry or car and is well worth a visit. If like us you're interested in bird watching, the Réserve Ornithologique du Teich is a must visit site - allow at least 4 hours and the 6km walk with 20 hides is fantastic especially just before and after high tide.
