    A Beautiful Journey Through Time

Located in the Provence of France, the charming city of Arles is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List thanks to its stunning Roman monuments and rich history. This beautiful destination was once a great inspiration for important personalities through time, including the Emperor Constantine I and Vincent van Gogh.

Home to the Roman baths of Constantine, the necropolis of Alyscamps and the Church of St. Trophime, Arles is a perfect example of a city perfectly combining the ancient with the modern. Built about 2,000 years ago, the Roman Arena (Arles Amphitheatre) is an imposing landmark, hosting bullfights during the festival of Feria d’Arles.

The famous painter Vincent van Gogh stayed in Arles for almost a year and created about 300 paintings and drawings. Follow his steps and visit the places depicted in some of his masterpieces, like 'Starry Night Over the Rhone', 'Langlois Bridge', 'Night Café' and the 'Yellow House'.

Situated on the banks of the River Rhône, Arles is about 15 km from the cities of Saint-Martin-de-Crau, Maussane-les-Alpilles and Tarascon. Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is 20 km away and will help you find a hotel, resort or apartment in the gorgeous city of Arles.
