The Hotel Le Rodin is located 0.8 mi from Arles Amphitheater and city center. It features free WiFi access. I stayed at Le Rodin during the opening week of Les Rencontres D'Arles. It's a very busy week in Arles, and all the hotels are under pressure. Le Rodin is a lovely hotel set a little bit further away from the centre, but I hired a bike direct from the hotel and it was really easy to get in and out of town this way. Le Rodin is peaceful and relaxing, with a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by palm trees. I have stayed here before, but this time the service was extra special. A special mention to William who was always so friendly and helpful on reception. It makes such a difference to stay somewhere where the staff love meeting people and helping with local information and tips - thank you William.

Many families visiting Arles loved staying at L'Hôtel Particulier, Hôtel du Musée, and Hôtel La Muette.
Take a walking tour and learn the history of the amphitheater and other Roman sites if you are interested in history. The huge weekly market was wonderful, the sellers were so friendly and let me practice French. Very good place to buy interesting vintage jewelry and homemade accessories. Beware the tiny mosquitos!
Great artistic and architecturally rich small sized town full of ancient history, contemporary art and street art. We stayed 5 nights with one day trip to Camargue...wish we could have stayed longer because there was so much more to see!
We would not recommend just going to Arles in November. Things were already winding down for the winter, and with the exception of the main restaurant area, it appeared that 80% of the businesses were closed. Friends visited in October and had a better experience. That said, Arles is a fantastic location to explore the Camargue, and November is a great time to do so. Incredible bird life. Quiet roads for great cycling. We'd highly recommend going to Salin (end of the road) and exploring the salt ponds there. Admission (pay at tourist office) is 14 euro per bike or 35 per car. The Saturday market in Arles is big (in fact you can't access the autoroute exit/entrances for centre ville as they're blocked off for several hours).
A beautiful city full of architecture from as far back as the Roman Empire. Also magnificent nature preserves very close by. Museums, great food and nice views -- we can't wait to go back. We ate at two places right by the old coliseum, which usually would be touristy and overpriced, but they were great!
Arles is quite small, very walkable, with loads of historic buildings and Roman ruins + Amphitheatre. 45 mins train from Vitrolles/Marseille Aiport. It has a lot of small galleries showing paintings and (especially) photography. The new Frank Gehry-designed LUMA contemporary art complex is exceptional, there are smaller museums, eg Fondation Van Gogh is interesting but imore about artists related to or inspired by him than his works themselves (of which they have only a handful). The Place du Forum includes the Yellow Cafe VG painted, but it's rather touristy, We preferred Place Voltaire to the east and Place Doumier to the west for bars and restaurants, but there's loads. Take a bus A50 to Saintes Maries de la Mer - it costs only a couple of euros and you can see flamingos, white horses and black bulls of the Carmague on the way, followed by a dip in the Med.
Lots of winding streets that quickly get you away from any crowds. Excellent food with helpful staff. We were there to see the photo exhibition which was fabulous. We also were there for the Festival of Rice. For whatever reason, Friday night in town was full of music on the streets and a joyous atmosphere. This was our second time in Arles so we didn’t redo the Roman things. The newest things for us was the Frank Gerry building which is open free of charge.
Arles
This guesthouse is more like a B&B than a hotel. It's location is superb (but not super quiet), the owner is very accessible and knowledgeable about the town and the area, and the breakfasts were phenomenal, featuring locally made jams and other goodies. The yogurt was the best! Arles has a lot of history and is a great jumping off point to visit other towns in the area. The parking spot worked well and the room's A/C was fantastic, very appreciated after a hot day of walking around outdoors.
Remi was the most welcoming host/owner/receptionist and we really appreciated how instantly accommodating he was to us and our nervous little dog. The hotel is classic old French style and Remi is continually working on making improvements - one day it will be absolutely fabulous. For now, it is a warm, comfortable stay close to the town of Arles with a lovely pool behind the property.
The staff at this property are, to a person, excellent. Ten out of ten to all of them! The breakfast was also very good. Free parking was another plus. If you have a car, the location is good to explore the area. Easy access to the Camargue for example, which we'd highly recommend. Arles in November is pretty quiet, but the Camargue is bustling with lots of birds that winter over.
Arles
We've had a fantastic stay at this new B&B. Everything was very nicely renovated, and the location is very good (only 5 minutes from Arles)! While everything was very good during our stay, some points really stood out in positive way: the shower, the air-conditioning, the swimming pool & the "summer kitchen" (with fridge, cooking materials, ...) for the guests.
We loved everything in La Muette! From the smiling friendly welcome to the atmosphere of the old house and walls. The hotel is situated directly in the middle of the old city, just a short distance from the forum. Every street, every house in its own way beautiful. We fell in love with Arles and in La Muette. We would have liked to stay longer and will come again!
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Reception staff spoke excellent english. The room was really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good selection of food, something for everyone. The hotel is ideally located for the old city and the tourist office is right opposite and lots of restaurants near by. A great hotel to explore Arles.
The property is the kind you look for its value for money. Its within a short walking distance to Arles, just cross a bridge over the Rhone. I enjoyed my bedroom which felt clean and nice. Breakfast was ok. I could park my car right in front of the property which was very convenient.
This was a last minute booking when we realized we would not make it to our original destination/hotel before 7pm (check in cut off). What a gem of a place! you could not ask for a better location, owner is extremely nice and the property is gorgeous and classy.
Hotel de l'Anglais was our very favorite stay in a three week tour across southern France. Filipe and Pierrick went far beyond the standard of service we would have expected. The hotel is a beautiful renovation and infused with modern style and comfort.
Very beautiful complex located around 25 minutes away from centre of Arles (by bike). The appartements modern and well equipped. The swimming pool area very charming and private. Safe and well maintained place. Perfect for holiday break.
Arles
We enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a great shower. It was convenient to get to Arles and other sights in the area. The owners were next door and were very kind. It was a great stay.
Swimming pool was need because of the heat. Car parking (no reservation possible), I guess we were lucky to get a parking space. Even the drive in idea was not properly working. Not possible to park safely outside the hotel.
The location for Arles center was good. It is a clean and modern hotel with a lovely pool and dining area.
Great location in the heart of historic Arles. Close to everything plus loads of charm.
beautiful accommodations in a centrally located mansion in Arles
The location was really great, in the midst of ancient Arles
