Located in the heart of Bize-Minervois, Le Bobo is a character-filled stone mansion with 12th-century ramparts, high ceilings and original tiled floors. Me and my wife has travel a lot for the last 15 years but we have never ever stayed at a better place. Everything was absolutely perfect. Susan & Cam, the owner of this pearl, are wonderful persons and they know exactly how to take care of the guests.
Located in Bize-Minervois, 20 miles from Béziers, Maison des Palmiers has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. Some units have a seating area and/or a balcony. Amazing experience! Such as we were blown away by the beautiful area, we were as well by the lovely service off our awesome hosts Richard and Sandy. We immediately felt home in this clean, spacious and cosy house. Also the longer we stayed the more we noticed the place was full of little details, story’s and history. We already looking forward to our next visit!
Extremely pretty small village in the mountains with a pretty river through the middle featuring a freshwater natural emerald-green pool, in which swimming is encouraged. A good selection of cafes, boulangeries and restaurants as well as a great antiques/flea market too. Would definitely come again.
A wonderful village with lots of history. We enjoyed some great local walks to the ancient settlements and caves. Excellent wild swimming opportunities with numerous natural pools a short walk from the village as well as the life guarded pool in the centre. Extremely friendly locals! We enjoyed meals and drinks at the bars and restaurants which were all reasonably priced and offered good service. We would recommend having a car handy to travel to other local attractions such as Minerve and the Canal Du Midi.
We loved exploring the local area and went further afield to Carcassone, Minerve and to the salt flats. There is a great little goat farm where they make amazing cheese - La Ferme De Combebelle. Bize Minervois itself is quite small, but has lots of lovely architecture.
A small, quiet Languedoc village, which is a good base for visiting Minerve and other regional villages. It's only 30 minutes drive to Carcassonne. There are an abundance of vineyards in the area. There are two or three restaurants in the village, and Denis or Hilary can provide recommendations. There are also restaurants within a short driving distance.
Pleasant quiet little town, but with a lively community feel to it - quite a few shops (a wonderful little bakery tucked off the church square)with friendly staff . Not excessively touristy, thank goodness, though it does have a few craft shops. A pleasant tree-lined boulevard leads to a river and the arched entrance to the old village with a maze of alleys (you can't get lost, the place is very small!) Well placed for vists to Minerve and other sites, and close to the big ctowns of Narbonne and Béziers.
We didn´t have enough time to discover the village and its surroundings, since we were here for family celebration in Narbonne, where we stayed all the time, but we hope to be able to discover when we come back (which we will surely do in the coming years !
