Great location to do hikes in the mountains. The hotel is owned and operated by a nice couple. They were really nice hosts. The hotel was renovated recently so everything was brand new. The room was clean, and spacious and had a nice terrace overlooking the mountains.

Very charming cottage with an impressive book collection inside. Well-stocked kitchen with everything you need. The dogs who live outside in the yard are both very sweet: the younger Sharpei type is more outgoing initially, but don't overlook the old Pyrenees type with the scarred face -- once he warms up to you he is very grateful for affection. The owner came by to deliver fresh ingredients for breakfast and was very kind about it when I accidentally locked the keys inside the house.

Very nice little establishment, newly refurbished rooms. Everything worked out very well. Car parking nearby on the street (free). We stayed one night in October.

casa vanella felt like home! wonderful hikes right from the door. we ate a wonderful home cooked meal one night and breakfast was lavish. our hosts were delightful, did our laundry, and were helpful about trails. we did not realize we needed to pay extras in cash but our host trusted us to go to a nearby ATM and return. it was a pleasure to dine family style and converse with French and German guests.

I cannot recommend this stay enough! The property seems newly renovated with the right mix between modern and matching the nature vibe of the area. The view from the rooms is great and the staff is incredibly friendly. Strongly strongly recommend!
