It was a lovely place to stay. It is out in the country a bit, with nice grounds and easy parking. The owner and her daughter always went out of their way to exceed our expectations. For example when we ordered some wine, they made us a picnic outside to enjoy it. The daughter speaks English.

The location was ideal for exploring the Loire Valley, with easy access to châteaux, charming villages, and picturesque vineyards. The place was in a beautiful country location, spotlessly clean and well-maintained.. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, always available to offer recommendations, and ensure that we had everything we needed. The breakfast was charming and delicious. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and hassle-free visit to the Loire Valley.

the house is immaculate and the location quiet, the proprieters are friendly and sociable, though you'll need to brush up on your Francais. Nearby a forested walk along the River Cher affords a (free) view of the castle from the far bank, should you arrive the prior late afternoon.

This is an amazing place! Beautiful and full of history. Our room was exceptionally gorgeous and comfortable. The grounds were also beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

    Beautiful house and wonderful, friendly & accommodating hostess who thankfully could speak in English. Lovely well cared for garden to relax in. Private & secure parking. Great location for visiting chateaux and great cycle paths & roads.

    Arrived at Les Lavandes to find they no longer existed and had ceased trading 6 months before. Messaged them twice but had no response. Had to find alternative and more expensive accommodation in another hotel. Booking.com was useless too, telling me twice they were in touch with the accommodation and would respond in 30 minutes. They didn’t and responded almost two weeks later telling me to contact the accommodation.

    It was very clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. Our van broke down and the staff went out of their way to ring a local garage who picked it up and repaired it. The hotel also prepared us a lunch platter as we were unable to leave the hotel

    The room was on the ground floor and easily accessible when carrying a lot of luggage.The evening meal was good, (although not "gourmet standard"). All the staff were very friendly. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel. There was plenty of parking.

    Very clean and neat hotel. Simple restaurant and food was good with a nice breakfast. Very handy for Chenonceau Chateau, which is less than 5 min drive. Great value overall.
