We came to Najac 9 years ago and always said we would return. Peaceful mediaeval village. Lots of history. Friendly people.Must visit the castle. We stayed In Oustel du Barry. Great hotel. We had a great view of the town's summer fireworks display from our balcony! The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The top floor bedroom especially was great. Our host was super friendly and helpful in telling us about the town, he's also the caretaker of the fortress so is very knowledgeable about that. It feels like a remote wild setting, but is quite close to Najac. There is bar and restaurant seating at the front to sit and admire the view. Our room had the view as well.
