Although my visit was short, it was easy to see how lovely the area and surrounding countryside was. Take Le petit train for a really good trip around Perigeux with commentary. Walk by the river. The tower & Roman info, museum also fabulous. Both the Roman town and Renaissance town offer lots of interesting places to visit - very attractive town situated in an area with many attractions. Well worth visiting, even out of season.
