We really enjoyed the good breakfast and the very cosy beds. Thanks for the supply of tea in the room. The bathroom was well equipped and quite big. The pub is lovely. Surprisingly our room was quiet, inspite of beeing right next to a busy junction. We really appreciated that.

Porridge was available, great, couldn't find marmalade. Lots of choice, could hot food be covered as it got cold quickly and we were early. Room lovely, beds comfy., clean, hot water, no complaints. Staff efficient and friendly. Location fine for coast visits. We love Northumberland so are biased but would visit the hotel again and recommend it to others.

Amble is very busy during school holidays I recommend you book for meals. Plenty of places to eat or drink. A really nice small beech. Easy to drive to where the boat trips leave or Bamburgh Castle, a good central location.

We really enjoyed Amble, lovely harbour and places to eat, fish and chips at The Old Boathouse is recommend. Radcliffe's cafe bar just around the corner is also a nice place to eat and drink. Amble is a perfect location to visit the Northumberland coast. Definitely will return.

Amble is beautiful.

Amble is beautiful. It isn't too busy, it's extremely tidy and feels very welcoming. The beach is lovely and the playarea was also well maintained and accessible. There's everything you need locally and seeing a working harbour is really interesting. Amble is a great base to get to other places as well. We enjoyed a trip to Edinburgh which took just over an hour from Alnmouth train station. We enjoyed Lilidori and Alnwick Gardens, we paid extra to visit the poison garden which was great! Book in advance though because it was sold out on the day we went. We had kids ranging between 4 and 19 with us and each really enjoyed all the places we visited. We used the local shops as well are ordering a shopping delivery with no issues. I would really recommend staying in Amble.

Lovely quiet fishing village/town with amazing scenic views.

Lovely quiet fishing village/town with amazing scenic views. And fun crabbing. Just be aware the boats don’t always dock at the platform there’s a big step onto them down ladders- something to note before booking any trips. Seafood not as abundant as expected lobster not on any menus locally despite the catches there. Did expect more seafood about as I’m a big lover of it. Easy to get around although avoid the haunted musuem it was as expected fake and staff were rude even if it is free entry. Nothing is haunted about the place it’s just been filled with charity shop finds or donations. Pizza place opposite was amazing.

We came for 1 night to take the 1 hour non-landing boat trip to RSPB Coquet Island. We also visited Warkworth Castle which we thought was really excellent and needs 2-3 hours to explore properly. The Harbour Inn was good (see separate review). That's about it for Amble.
