Nice fishing town with an active colourful harbour and great cliff walks just out of town. We weren't really there for a holiday and it was very much the off-season but there are a few other attractions both in the town and nearby which would be good in the summer.

Arbroath is a great wee town. Very pretty and friendly. Great for families the beach front is Brilliant for all weathers, so much to do. Good food options too with welcoming staff. We went in November and the fireworks display was brilliant. We want to come back in the summer. Theres some good book and charity shops. Totally recommend Arbroath had a great time.

Arbroath is a small town, very well situated for beautiful beaches and a short drive away from some beautiful glens. We went hill walking and spent time just walking along the beach, although it was cold it was still a very nice experience. We visited two restaurants around the harbour, the fish pie and steak pie were very nice. In addition there are lots of places to sample fresh fish etc. there are fishing trips available and also nearby there is a horse riding school that we went too.

Scotland is a land of plenty - mountains, sea, hiking, historical places. I am a "water" person. Arbroath was the last point of our trip and I found it very relaxing. Shore views outstanding. Sea food - perfect.

Arbroath is in a lovely setting between the glens and the sea. We enjoy the quiet ambiance and the walkability. Be sure to have a meal at Smithies and when it reopens at Vintealicious. Both on Port Street, near the train station. Another good place to eat is the Esk Cafe in Glen Esk.
