I really liked how close the property was to Basildon town centre it made getting around very easy. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a smooth stay. The host was also friendly and helpful throughout.

We loved everything about our stay here! The room was amazing, so clean, beautifully decorated and so much thought was put into making guests feel welcome. It felt really luxurious. The en suite was lovely. We will definitely be staying again, we much preferred this room than staying in a hotel. Thanks so much!

Wall paper falling off walls, no shampoo or shower gel to wash. Broken sofa in livingroom. Light in bedroom didn’t work. No tea or coffee or milk available. Curtains falling apart. Pictures on booking.com to what we got was disappointing.

I had a wonderful stay!

I had a wonderful stay! The room was incredibly cosy and spotlessly clean, making it easy to relax right away. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept perfectly each night. The modern toilet downstairs was also a great touch—fresh, well-designed, and always tidy. Overall, a charming and comfortable place that I’d happily stay in again. Highly recommended!

The position of the Hotel was ideal to get to where we...

The position of the Hotel was ideal to get to where we needed to be. The Hotel setting was lovely, over the lake. Also, after being out all day, it was so convenient to just walk over to the Festival leisure park to find somewhere to eat. A very nice and convenient Hotel. Harvesters, and Wagamama were both good choices to eat.

The house was amazing.

The house was amazing. The whole house was very clean, a lot of spaces, the bed was very, very comfortable and magnific garden. We enjoyed our stay in the there. I highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking to spend a good holiday in a beautiful place

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room clean. Our only issue was the lack of recycling facilities in the room - there only seemed to be a rubbish bin and the loo roll holder is in such a position that it was knocked on the floor every time we sat on the loo!!

Public transport was great.

Public transport was great. Many paved paths 'shared' for walking & cycling. However, unlike the roads there, the paved sidewalks -especially when walking outside of the 'Town Centre,' are often uneven as I found myself being frequently 'tripped-up.' Also, in some areas, the bushes near the sidewalks haven't been 'tended to' by the city and are often encroaching onto the sidewalks -footpaths, which in turn are 'in-your-face!' Basildon and the surrounding area has a lot of traffic and a fair amount of graffiti too, along w/ too much litter around.

Was a lovely and pretty decently priced house! Definitely will look to book again when next in Basildon. The hosts were brilliant and helped with whatever question I had. They also left a few bits I.e. bread, biscuits etc for us which was a lovely welcoming. Thankyou again!!

Good hotel and staff very helpful, however, having to pay 12 pound a night for parking is not good, also my wife is in a wheel chair and the swing door mechanism covers too high and service covers also to high which could cause problems with wheel chair.
