Wall paper falling off walls, no shampoo or shower gel to wash. Broken sofa in livingroom. Light in bedroom didn’t work. No tea or coffee or milk available. Curtains falling apart. Pictures on booking.com to what we got was disappointing.

I had a wonderful stay!
I had a wonderful stay! The room was incredibly cosy and spotlessly clean, making it easy to relax right away. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept perfectly each night. The modern toilet downstairs was also a great touch—fresh, well-designed, and always tidy. Overall, a charming and comfortable place that I’d happily stay in again. Highly recommended!

The position of the Hotel was ideal to get to where we needed to be. The Hotel setting was lovely, over the lake.
Also, after being out all day, it was so convenient to just walk over to the Festival leisure park to find somewhere to eat.
A very nice and convenient Hotel.
Harvesters, and Wagamama were both good choices to eat.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room clean.
Our only issue was the lack of recycling facilities in the room - there only seemed to be a rubbish bin and the loo roll holder is in such a position that it was knocked on the floor every time we sat on the loo!!

Public transport was great.
Public transport was great. Many paved paths 'shared' for walking & cycling. However, unlike the roads there, the paved sidewalks -especially when walking outside of the 'Town Centre,' are often uneven as I found myself being frequently 'tripped-up.'
Also, in some areas, the bushes near the sidewalks haven't been 'tended to' by the city and are often encroaching onto the sidewalks -footpaths, which in turn are 'in-your-face!'
Basildon and the surrounding area has a lot of traffic and a fair amount of graffiti too, along w/ too much litter around.

This was a lovely clean and tidy house tucked away in a nice quiet street in Basildon. The shared kitchen area etc., kept clean and tidy. Good on street parking. Staff lovely and very helpfu if needed. Bed was comfy as well. Good value for money and ideal for a short stay.

The hotel had a great atmosphere, good food in budget and was only 5 minutes away from the shopping area. All fun places like arcade, bowling, trampoline park cinema and a beach within 30 minute drive and London shopping district was less than an hour drive away
