The place was very easy to find and access, with no issues getting there at all. The rooms are incredibly spacious – there’s plenty of room for luggage and to move around freely. The kitchen was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, and the fact that every room has its own private bathroom is such a wonderful bonus, giving you full comfort and privacy. Everything feels warm, welcoming and well cared for, and the hosts were lovely and very helpful during our whole stay. We felt right at home and will definitely be coming back again!

Wall paper falling off walls, no shampoo or shower gel to wash. Broken sofa in livingroom. Light in bedroom didn’t work. No tea or coffee or milk available. Curtains falling apart. Pictures on booking.com to what we got was disappointing.

I had a wonderful stay!

I had a wonderful stay! The room was incredibly cosy and spotlessly clean, making it easy to relax right away. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept perfectly each night. The modern toilet downstairs was also a great touch—fresh, well-designed, and always tidy. Overall, a charming and comfortable place that I’d happily stay in again. Highly recommended!

The position of the Hotel was ideal to get to where we...

The position of the Hotel was ideal to get to where we needed to be. The Hotel setting was lovely, over the lake. Also, after being out all day, it was so convenient to just walk over to the Festival leisure park to find somewhere to eat. A very nice and convenient Hotel. Harvesters, and Wagamama were both good choices to eat.

The house was amazing.

The house was amazing. The whole house was very clean, a lot of spaces, the bed was very, very comfortable and magnific garden. We enjoyed our stay in the there. I highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking to spend a good holiday in a beautiful place

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfy and the room clean. Our only issue was the lack of recycling facilities in the room - there only seemed to be a rubbish bin and the loo roll holder is in such a position that it was knocked on the floor every time we sat on the loo!!

Public transport was great.

Public transport was great. Many paved paths 'shared' for walking & cycling. However, unlike the roads there, the paved sidewalks -especially when walking outside of the 'Town Centre,' are often uneven as I found myself being frequently 'tripped-up.' Also, in some areas, the bushes near the sidewalks haven't been 'tended to' by the city and are often encroaching onto the sidewalks -footpaths, which in turn are 'in-your-face!' Basildon and the surrounding area has a lot of traffic and a fair amount of graffiti too, along w/ too much litter around.

Up keep of the hotel is really poor. The bar area seemed to be nice but everywhere is else is dated, dirty or not been kept. Carpets are dirty, bathroom tiles and silicone are worn, air con in the breakfast area are dirty and have water stains on the walls and the external of the hotel needs to be painted. Very shabby.

Check in was very smooth, the staff were very friendly. Excellent parking practically outside your door. It was so nice to walk out the door and you were outside, not a hotel complex with miles of corridors and lifts. Good breakfast eggs cooked to perfection.
