Newly renovated, this 18th-century coaching inn is in the quiet village of Clapham, in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. It has original character, free parking, a restaurant and 2 bars. Clean comfortable beds very quiet no disturbances during the night. Staff very polite and friendly. Food was excellent exceeded our expectations as the portions were huge especially the starter. Good value for money will come again
Set in Clapham in the North Yorkshire region, Wenning Bank is a 4-star property featuring free WiFi. The accommodations is 21 mi from Lancaster. Everything. Incredible views, spotlessly clean, comfortable, welcoming and so cosy with lots of little extras like tea lights, throws, a wonderful welcome pack and lots of clean towels, little toiletries and a fully equipped kitchen. Loved the log burner and the views of the bird feeders. Couldn't have wished for any more. The cottage was beautiful with lots of history, which you could read about. It was warm and cosy and even with the storm we were snuggly.
Located in Newby in the North Yorkshire region, Westside Cottage, Newby cum Clapham. North Yorkshire. Has a patio and river views. Lovely property, well situated, clean and cosy. Perfect retreat away from the hubbub of daily life which was just what we needed.
This is Clapham in Lancashire and not, as your photo indicates, Clapham as in part of London. As such, it is a small Dales village scattered with stone cottages along a lovely stream which comes down from Ingleborough Cave through a well laid out estate which is easily accessible. The village is small, the locals are friendly, there is the pub at the New Inn, the bunkhouse, a tearoom and a general store. It is a very pleasant and characterful Dales village.
We love Clapham and have returned many times over the past 10 years and stayed in the New Inn. A very pretty village with some beautiful walks especially in summer. Also very handy for exploring other great places by car.
Typical Dales village - geared up for tourists but no loss of character and totally unspoilt. Great walks to Ingleborough cave Gaping Gill and Ingleborough Hill. Less strenuous walks for all ages and abilities. The New Inn is a great place to stay and is the hub of the village serving wholesome food and a good selection of Real Ales and bright beers.
A small village that has plenty of character. The beck runs through the heart of the village with several bridges crossing it. There is a village shop, a café and a very interesting vintage shop selling all sorts of quirky things; well worth a look around. At the far end of the village is the Ingleborough Estate that leads you up to the Ingleborough Caves and the sumit of Ingleborough. To go through the estate there is a £1 charge for adults, but is worth every penny. There is also an alternative route but you miss out on great views of the lake and the woodland.
A pretty village in a quiet location not far from main road. - lovely village shop - nice inn with accomodation. Tea rooms - good walking area. Also golf courses not far away - everything I could want for a mini break!
Quaint little village. People really friendly, and lots of dog friendly places. We tried the reading room cafe, very, dog friendly. Good coffee ,soup and scone. Good spot to go exploring,be it walking or cycling
