There were plenty of tea towels and even an oven glove.
The bed and pillows were comfortable, we a had good sleep.
The shower was fantastic, it even has a bath.
The bathroom towels and hand towels were lovely and soft.
There are lots of channels on the TV.
Board games to play,
Even books to read, we had everything we needed for our stay.
All in all this apartment is the best we have been to.

The location is stunning, building is lovely and charming, staff were helpful, breakfast was great, rooms were clean, very comfortable, and nicely decorated and it’s right on one of the lakes. We also felt it was great value. We were accidentally high maintenance guests (international debit card didn’t work at first, I accidentally knocked my glass of wine over at dinner, had some wi fi problems in our friends room) but the woman who I’m guessing was the manager was very helpful and nothing seemed like too much trouble.

Rooms are comfotable.
Rooms are comfotable. Fans are provided as the rooms do get very warm in hot weather. Also I found the bathroom exttactor fan was very noisy. I could hear the fan in the next room too when the bathroom was being used. Not ideal at 0600 hrs.Pleasant staff and good food.

Favourite spots were on the beach 200 yards from the hotel with food and drink facilities, and the hotel garden. We ate there as well as various other hotels in the centre of town.
Getting around Coniston is easy with lots of interesting walks.

Beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful surroundings. Lots of activities on offer at the lake. Plenty of places to eat , drink and stay. Great for walkers of all abilities. Quieter than many lake district locations and we had no problem with parking.

Coniston is a beautiful place to visit.
Coniston is a beautiful place to visit. We’ve been many times now and stayed in lots of different cottages. We’ve already booked to go back next year. Everywhere is dog friendly, which is a great bonus. Water sports are fantastic on Coniston Water, you can take ferry over the water. Loads of fantastic walks to choose from and bus service is brilliant. If you want to book a taxi I’d make sure you do it in plenty time as always very busy.

We have enjoyed several holidays in Coniston over the since the mid 90's and walked and climbed over many popular routes.
We've seen many changes and improvements in that time, including this visit. The infrastructure, roads, paths, carparks and access to the countryside has changed for the better. Improvements to the roads was noticeable.

The scenery is beautiful and Coniston is central for...
The scenery is beautiful and Coniston is central for reaching many interesting and lovely places. There are many great pubs and cafes. As well as challenging walks there are several easy walks, e.g. Tarn Hows or Grizedale forest.

Delicious breakfast with lots of choice.
Beautifully served by the window overlooking the garden and lakeland countryside. Lots of birds to watch.
The bed was extremely comfortable. Our hosts were very attentive and the homemade cake was an unexpected treat. There is a lot to do in this area. It's a good base for walking and watersports on lake Coniston.

The hotel is well located in the centre of Coniston. The rooms were on the small side, bathroom particularly so. Everything is looking a little old and worn but the staff were, without exception very friendly. We all enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were very good.
