A charming hotel at the end of the first stage of the west highland way with a great sense of vintage. Altogether, clean and has modern facilities and all services. Recommended as a luxury for hiker, vacation for families and for anybody who would like to have a peace of mind in a lovely place. Will definitely come back!!
Just 5 minutes from Loch Lomond, The Buchanan Arms Hotel & Leisure Club offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Along with a whiskey bar, stylish rooms and a restaurant, there is also a health club. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Made us very welcome and great place to travel from to see other parts . Food was amazing. Pool great
Located in Drymen, The Clachan Inn has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Spotless clean, very nice room and bathroom, good food and very friendly staff - all for a reasonable price. I can highly recommend to everyone.
Angel Cottage has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Drymen. Fitted with a patio, the units feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. This is our second visit to the property. We came back because it was very pleasant when we stayed a yr ago. 🤗
Shandon Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast is located in Drymen, 16 mi from Glasgow. Free WiFi is featured and free private parking is available on site. Situated in a nice country side. Building well renovated. Warm welcome. Very comfortable room and huge bathroom. Very good hot shower. Breakfast perfect. Beautiful lounge.
Located within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, The Drymen Inn is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and scenic countryside. It was a proper Scottish Inn with a pub below the rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was really close to a lot of lochs and places we wanted to visit. I highly recommend it.
Located on the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, just 3 miles from the village of Drymen, Dunroamin Bed & Breakfast features free on-site parking and is 15 minutes’ drive from Loch... The hostess was kind. We fell in love with the quality of the bathroom, also the bed was very comfortable. In the morning we had an excellent Scottish breakfast as well as fresh fruit. The price/quality ratio is excellent!
Located in the charming conservation village of Drymen, Ashbank Bed & Breakfast offers cozy bedrooms with private bathrooms. Set on the West Highland Way, it is a 30-minute drive from central Glasgow.... Excellent host, location, breakfast! Tommy is one super guy!
Located in the heart of the Scottish countryside, 8 miles from the shores of Loch Lomond, Dunroamin Apartment offers an apartment with free parking, Wi-Fi, and easy access to Balfron and Drymen, both... Lovely place. Has everything you need and a great place to stay for a few days. Definitely worth it!
Fantastic little. Village 3 pubs with great food. Spar and butchers if self catering. Lovely village green. Handy for Stirling and Loch Lomond. Drymen Inn was the best food but you have to book. Winnock pub has a great atmosphere but lots of coach parties. Balloacn is the place to be cruising and eating. Another great village. We will be back but never to Buchana Arms. Sorry But we had great breakfasts at Skoosh across the road.
I would heartily recommend Drymen as a place to stay. There is a gentleness, something special about the place. It was a beautiful drive down from Fort William and it is an ideal place to stay if you want to be out of a town, even a small one, but close enough to access Loch Lomond and other interesting places in that area. We had a light lunch at Balmaha which is just a few minutes away from Drymen but there is a good choice of places to eat.
The location was good as it was easy to get to both east & west coast of loch Lomond. We had a lovely meal at the Clachan Inn and would highly recommend it, it's bigger than it looks. If you fancy a climb with good views, then try Conic hill at Balmaha.....although we found it quite difficult.
Liked the bar staff. Didn't like that there was no restaurant and we had to eat in the bar which lacked any atmosphere and had a limited menu. Wouldn't have booked if we had been informed that there was no restaurant. Probably a good place for a base when exploring the Loch Lomond area if the price was right. No romantic eating as advertised. Rooms ok.
We really liked the location although parking was a problem - for the amount of guests it was a small car park which was made even smaller due to tables and chairs having to be spread out for social distancing! The local food was amazing we recommend fish and chips from the chippy.
Ok for a stop over for the west highland way hikers but wouldn't be ideal for a long stay especially with kids as not much to do in drymen. If you want to eat at the clachan inn you have to book in advance. If you want to dine out there isn't much choice. There is a spar shop across from clachan inn The bus to balmaha is easy enough to get to I stayed for 2 nights with my kids and there was dust on the bedside tables and hairs on the bathroom floor The TV wasn't working and there was a smell in the room. The staff are friendly enough and lots of hand sanitiser about the place.
Everyone was so nice and friendly. Made us very welcome and great place to travel from to see other parts . Food was amazing. Pool great
Everything from the moment we went through the gate. Lovely little comfortable cabin with its own private hot tub.
This is our second visit to the property. We came back because it was very pleasant when we stayed a yr ago. 🤗
Excellent host, location, breakfast! Tommy is one super guy!
