Situated in Ely, Cambridgeshire region, Little Downham Anchor is set 5 km from Ely Cathedral. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Exceptionally clean room, very comfortable bed, the fan was really appreciated. The quality of the food was amazing, I totally recommend this place for both food and lodgings 😀
Situated in Ely and within 2.4 km of Ely Cathedral, Hotel Barge Waternimf has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy river views. Firstly, you're staying on a boat, which in terms of uniqueness in a place to stay, ranks very highly, and secondly, the owners have really gone above and beyond in making every guest feel at home and welcome. They are extremely kind and helpful, and Donna even made me my first, proper beans on toast, which was delicious and I've since been able to replicate thanks to her! My cabin was the one with the bathtub, and it was very comfortable (especially the bed), clean, and well-furnished. The towels were heated and of very good quality, and the soap and shampoo were luxurious. Breakfast was hot, delicious, and made-to-order, and you get a truly home cooked meal. You also get a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival, which although I didn't indulge in, was well liked by the other guests. The location is also excellent. It's a quick walk to the sights in Ely and the railway station. And since it's literally on the river, you have stunning views all around you. Donna and Stuart are amazing hosts, and my stay felt very much like I was staying with good (if new) friends in a home-away-from-home. I wish both of the owners all the well-deserved success they are sure to get, and I'll definitely be staying here when I get the opportunity to return to Ely!

Situated in Littleport, The Gate House is just 2 minutes’ walk from Littleport Railway Station. With free Wi-Fi throughout, this award-winning modern house also offers free onsite parking. While this B & B is in a seemingly out-of-way village, its location is ideal for easily getting to Ely and Cambridge on the train. It is maybe 150 meters to the train platform in Littleport. Additionally, the room is very comfortable and clean; but more importantly the hostess (Edna) is most wonderful. To add to that, she makes a most excellent breakfast. Her homemade jams are reason enough to choose this location.

Compact, plenty of interest with the beautiful Cathedral and surrounding buildings. Good selection of shops and restaurants and all within reach of other places of interest, including Cambridge and several National Trust properties.
A very comfortable city - nice shops and restaurants and a nice market. Very pretty and easy to navigate around. Plenty of (free) parking. Friendly people and we were made very welcome wherever we went. Extremely peaceful and pretty beside the river and some good walks.
Lovely city. The cathedral is very impressive. Yes it costs to get in but well worth worth a visit and we had the most knowledgable gentleman taking us for an hour+ long tour around the cathedral. Visited Oliver Cromwell’s house which was very interesting and would definitely recommend a visit. So relaxing to sit by the river, and we were lucky that the weather was so good. Nice shops nearby the cathedral and always somewhere to have a meal and a drink.
Beautiful little town , built round the cathedral and its associated private school. The cathedral is an amazing sight, and well worth a visit. The waterfront area is also pretty and well appointed with places to eat and drink.
Ely is a lovely place to visit but a long weekend is probably enough, if like us you’re reliant on public transport. Great parks, Cathedral is stunning, brass band in the park by the water front on Sunday, limited river trips. Plenty of places to eat, good museum and Oliver Cromwell’s house is worth a visit.
The cathedral is spectacular and not to be missed! The stained glass windows are breathtaking and there is also a stained glass exhibition available, although you need to be able to climb a narrow stone spiral staircase to reach it. The city itself has a wide range of attractions including the riverside and restaurants, historical sites including Oliver Cromwell's house, a variety of shops and a market. The main attractions are within easy walking distance and Ely provides free parking which is a bonus. We had a wonderful meal at the Prince Albert pub, not far from the cathedral. It serves a good range of real ales too.

The location of this village inn was close to Ely. We chose this hotel because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint us despite some negative reviews on your web site. The staff were great. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The breakfast was freshly cooked which makes a change from some more pricey hotels who only provide buffet style breakfast. The room was very clean. Tea and coffee in the room was plentiful. There was adequate car parking. Thank you Red Lion for a pleasant stay.

This hotel is absolutely stunning, it is right in the centre, the rooms are amazing. Extremely well decorated, everything is so comfy. The bathroom was stunning, everything looked brand new and shiny. Could not fault this hotel at all. The man who checked us in could not of been more helpful, felt like nothing we asked would of been too much for him, a really nice man. Breakfast was superb.

A lovely room, a bit different from the standard hotel, the cabin was spacious and had all the modern conveniences of something on land. Breakfast was cooked to order and we were welcomed warmly to the barge. I would highly recommend it and plan on staying again. Don't be put off if you think the boat will move about, you won't really notice much movement.

Breakfast was varied, having a continental buffet and a hot food breakfast menu made to order. Room size was fantastic.Would definitely stay again.

The service was excellent; thoughtful but not pushy. Lovely food both for breakfast and at the bar—the pimms was also gorgeous! Our room was spectacular. Spacious and beautifully decorated, with a huge shower and gorgeous copper bath in the bedroom. One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in-and we’ve tried a lot!
