The location in this small village suited us well. Staying in a clean, comfortable yet historic home was memorable. We dined in for the 2 nights of our stay and loved the menu choices as well as the professional service and breakfast offerings were the same - good choice and fabulously prepared.

I had a very pleasant stay here. It is a large 2 storey old thatched cottage in a very attractive village I had my a private area of the house with a huge attractive bright, well-furnished bedroom and a modern bathroom. I met the friendly hosts when I arrived. Having a fridge meant I had some of the breakfasts ingredients already, yogurt, fruit and fresh delicious local apple juice in advance. Generous portions. The fresh bread and croissants were outside my room in the morning. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night's sleep here. I am a bit wary of reviews and how to assess some places I have stayed in but this room and accommodation were excellent,

Its a quite village with walks around Cranborne chase.

Its a quite village with walks around Cranborne chase. There is really not a lot more here that I know; walks, views, pub food and beer. 30 min+ drive then there is lots more to see especially the market towns, iron age forts, beaches and of course the iconic Corfe Castle (which is probably more like 45 min away).

The village was really quaint, a bit remote and a very tight squeeze down the lanes to the village but worth it, it was lovely, beautiful properties, seemed quiet and peaceful,. Loved the horses and riders stopping off at the pub for their breakfast. Pub itself was a hive of activity, obviously a well run business and perfect for village life. Loved the book swop in the telephone box, finished our books so swopped them, a brilliant idea.

Hotel was just a stopover after arriving at Bournemouth airport, but the staff were excellent and the food standard and beer were way above 'pub food'. Comfy quiet room. We will be back.

Nice room and bathroom . Good supper and breakfast on an idyllic summer evening. The village of Farnham is very quiet with some tawny owls in the trees nearby.
