Location to park across street was a huge plus. We walked the paved path to beautiful beach access. Enjoyed hotel lunch with perfect lasanga. Breakfast was quickly served so we could catch cab to train station easily.

It was convenient that there was parking, and that it’s a pub/restaurant that also sells food. Options were great. Also, Wi-Fi was very good. No problems with that.

Everything was top shelf. It couldn’t have been better. The folks are delightful and very helpful. They have a very sweet dog, Glenn, that steals your heart. We felt we were staying with family that we liked. ;)

I find Leven, Fife to be a remarkably peaceful settlement,...

I find Leven, Fife to be a remarkably peaceful settlement, calm, cool, and deeply family oriented. It is a place that breathes quietly, away from noise and spectacle, yet carries the substance of a well-formed community. Surprisingly, it is far larger and more complete than its public visibility suggests. I only truly came to appreciate its depth and character upon arrival. By contrast, Edinburgh commands almost all the attention and admiration, basking in a shine that often overshadows surrounding towns. While its prominence is understandable, the imbalance feels somewhat unfair. Places like Leven offer a different kind of richness one rooted in serenity, order, and everyday life rather than constant display. Sometimes, the most meaningful places are not those that announce themselves loudly, but those that quietly get life right.

Fife is a beautiful part of Scotland.

Fife is a beautiful part of Scotland. It has a huge variety of different attractions to visit. Unfortunately, we were only visiting Glenrothes for a swimming competition this time but, we’ll be back soon to enjoy countryside, cuisine and magnificent beauty of “The Kingdom”.

small enough to walk around the city - lovely country drives around the area. excellent bars and fabulous restuarants. The golf courses were a main attraction but I was suprised and delighted with the hitsorical buildings and ruins avaiable to view. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables for sale at roadside stalls as we visited in early summer.

Kirkcaldy was a good place to have as a base.

Kirkcaldy was a good place to have as a base. Visiting other fishing villages to the North and South was most enjoyable. St Andrews was extremely busy with students mainly but it was good to visit the cathedral. Anstruther had lovely fish and chips and beaches at Elie and Crail were exceptional
