Framlingham is a lovely market town with a spectacular castle and Parish Church. Lots of nice shops and some great places to eat and drink. Close enough to all the local tourist places but Framlingham itself is a genuine community and not a "tourist destination". Highly recommended for a short to medium term break. The Crown Hotel has a lovely restaurant and the Station pub serves fantastic food. Next time will try the Indian and Italian restaurants. There is even a market twice a week. Locals are VERY welcoming!

Framlingham Castle is a must visit and the market square and cafes are delightful. We used it as a base to visit Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings and the surrounding area. Best pub if you like cask ale and atmosphere is the Station Hotel operated by a local microbrewery. It's a ten minute walk from the market square and also has an impressive menu. The TV series Detectorists was filmed in Framlingham if you like finding locations.

Beautiful countryside setting .

Beautiful countryside setting . No busy roads cutting through the area where we stayed. When we arrived we found a little friendly pub just a few miles away from the property . Obviously it was used by the locals . The food was very good . The surrounding grounds of the area were stunning Went to Framlingham Castle and walked around the outside area with out 2 dogs , we then walked down back into the central area and had a lovely coffee and cake before we set back home . A pleasant little village for a short rest .

Loved Framlingham and The crown hotel where we stayed.Interesting shops and everyone chatty and helpful.Visited the castle, although quite expensive it was worth it.Visited the pub by the castle as well and they couldn’t do enough for us.In fact everywhere we were welcomed which was nice. The whole area was all very clean and well looked after.Framlingham is quite hilly although we were ok perhaps not so good for wheelchairs or people with less mobility.

Excellent apartment situated close to the village square.

Excellent apartment situated close to the village square. Short walking distance to The independant shops, restaurants, and Castle. Ideal location to explore the lovely Suffolk coast. The apartment is refurbished to a high standard, very tasteful, clean, cosy and comfortable. Plus parking space. Very peaceful and enjoyable, plus a helpful and friendly host.

If you have already been to Framlingham then you won’t need me to tell you how wonderful this Suffolk town is. If you haven’t been: Go! And make sure you book several days if possible as there is so much to see here and in surrounding towns and villages. The town square is a little gem. The unspoiled streets leading off as you climb toward the awe-inspiring castle are a delight. The large church is beautiful. Collage Mere is an extraordinary survival so close to the centre of the town. The views of the castle from here are the very best.

A lovely, comfortable bolt hole for an overnight in Framlingham. Well fitted out and in a great location for the town centre. Cutlery and plates available for takeaways, kettle, tea & coffee, and water etc all available, and also a small fridge. There is also a comfortable bed, a useful small sofa in a separate seating area and a modern clean bathroom. Good off road parking and some outdoor space for eating as well. All very good - We will definitely book again when visiting the area.

Fabulous cottage totally refurbished to a very high standard; everything you could need for a long or short stay, including washing machine and dishwasher, plus a beautiful garden with outdoor seating. The biscuits and milk upon arrival were a very thoughtful and welcome touch. Framlingham is a lovely town and has much to offer, but it is also a good base for exploring Suffolk and South Norfolk.

Great communications from both the owner and their agents, this is a lovely little cottage in a beautiful Suffolk village. I picked Framlingham at random, but it turns out that it is not only the birthplace of Ed Sheeran but one of the locations used for filming Detectorists. The cottage is full of quirky charm and lots of little details for a long weekend or week away.

Easy access to the beautiful town of Framlingham, in a quiet location on the edge of town with footpath walks on the doorstep. The property is very well equipped, tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean.
