Night time shuttle driver drove too fast. Lady who cooked breakfast and the morning staff and room cleaner were all very friendly. Room was dark at night. There was a night light in the bathroom.

Horley has a small town centre with pubs, restaurants, shops and a big Waitrose! I've been to the pubs for meals in the past but not on this occasion. The town is unobjectionable; nothing special but nothing to complain about. You have to walk along Massetts Road to get there and the lighting at night is a bit on the low side; There was very little traffic and few people but it felt safe.

I was there for an international lay over. Completely recommend going to The Tavern pub. I went to Wetherspoons first and whilst it was cheaper, the atmosphere in The Tavern was hilarious. I am still laughing about it now a day later.

I would never stay there again.
I would never stay there again. They accept dogs, but don't give allowance for it, the room is to small. Our Bed was comfortable, but this is the only positive thing I can say. The dinner service was shocking, we had to wait for a starter over 3/4 of an hour and there were only 3 further guests there. We also questioned how much longer we will have to wait and were told "it takes as long as it takes." As the starter took so long we have also ordered a Caesar salad which did not arrive (it should be served before the food!) So we had to cancel over an argument with the waiter . The " gentleman" carried on shouting 10 minutes after we left in the kitchen so that all the visitors in their bedrooms and restaurant could hear him. We have complaint there and then at the reception and I do hope our complaint has gone further. One thing is for sure if they do allow dogs then there should be water bowls, poo bags (I take my own, but not all dog owners do) and also a designated area where they can do their business. I will NEVER stay there again and make sure enough people I know get to know about it.

Love the proximity to the terminal and the ease to reach it.
Love the proximity to the terminal and the ease to reach it. Would be better if there were decaf coffee & tea in the room and hot breakfast entrees available earlier. No USB ports in my room on the first floor.
There were loads in higher level so bring your converter. Otherwise, as expected having stayed there before.

To get to the airport was easy!
To get to the airport was easy! When you leave the guesthouse you take a right out of the gate. Cross the street to the bus stop. Take bus # 100 2 stops to the airport. It only will cost you 2 pounds and it runs a few times an hour week days.
I chose this hotel since I landed in Gatwick around 01:30 and planned to leave the area in the morning after, so a hotel in the airport was the most reasonable solution. For some reason I didn't expect a half-capsule hotel - it's not the capsules that remind you a sarcophagus, but it's the type of room that you should move slowly otherwise you bump into something. The room was clean, I liked the purple light and all in all it answered my need and was a good solution.
Coming from the Gatwick rail station and to the north terminal, this was all under roof directions given by the hotel to head to easy jet baggage drop off the hotel sign was easy to see. You then walked straight through to reception. The whole experience was 5star staff room very high quality Amsterdam experience..pleasent dinning area, early breakfast buffet verygood from 4am continental hot breakfast from 5 30. Will return most definitely. L
Easy check in by friendly guy. Comfy clean warm room, small but had what we needed inc tea/coffee making facilities. Really don't understand the bad reviews..when we next fly from Gatwick we will stay again. Left our car in the hotel carpark for the duration of our holiday. Horley village is a 5 min drive away with shops and takeaways
I had sat on the M25 for six hours and missed my fight. All Gatwick hotels were full. I managed to find Copperwood on goggle. I was extremely grateful to Richard for phoning me soon after I booked because I did not know the area and wasn't sure how far it was from Gatwick (circa 10 mins by taxi).
We happened upon this excellent hotel after our flight from Gatwick was cancelled. A lovely hotel, near the village of Horley, with friendly, cheery staff, comfortable rooms, shuttle to & from airport.
