We love to stop in Horley.

We love to stop in Horley. It has a fabulous pub and is very walkable. Usually we spend a little more time in horley but we were more limited in our time this trip as our flights had a shorter turn around time. Horley is a wonderful little spot to relax for a few days and the public transit is very easy to use especially for out of country travellers.

Unfortunately, my experience at the hotel took a negative turn when they unexpectedly canceled my reservation without providing any explanation. Upon further investigation, I discovered that there were indeed five rooms available, similar to the one I had originally booked. However, upon entering the room, I was disappointed to find it in a dirty state. I took photographs of the unacceptable conditions and presented them to the receptionist during check-out. Instead of addressing the issue, I was accused of dishonesty, with the receptionist denying the existence of such conditions. Additionally, I encountered hygiene issues throughout the room, with hair scattered in various places. Furthermore, I was unable to use the blow dryer inside the bathroom due to an incompatibility with the energy outlet, which was inconvenient and frustrating. Overall, these experiences significantly detracted from my stay at the hotel and left me feeling dissatisfied with the level of service and accommodation provided.

Always a useful location for an onward flight- this time to Milan - we popped into town via train from the airport and had a full set of nails done and if more organised a massage. Instead we made use of low prices at a weatherspoons and local cafe

Comfortable room & calm decor. Small but perfect.

Comfortable room & calm decor. Small but perfect. Nice to wake up with coffee/tea machine in room & biscuits a lovely surprise. However there needs to be more than 2 sachets of milk supplied. Although there is a notice that more supplies are available on request from reception, I did not notice the milk situation until the morning & wasn’t dressed first thing. Saying that once dressed there was also a coffee machine room on 2 floors available to use.

This hotel is right in the terminal, so very convenient.

This hotel is right in the terminal, so very convenient. They give good discounts at some of the local eateries - we got 20% off our breakfast - great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good price. However, in comparison to a premier inn for example (similar price), the rooms are way too small - not enough room to swing a cat!! Additionally altho the bed is king size, it is pushed against the wall, so one of.you has to sleep against a cold wall. For this reason alone, I would.not book it again. You pays your.money and.takes your choice!

I loved the Corner House Hotel! I arrived at Gatwick at 1 am and called for the hotel shuttle and he was there within 5 minutes. My room was just fine and comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. I only slept there for 5 hours but it was just what I needed. In the morning, I had a full English breakfast in the dining room and it was great. Everyone at the Corner House Hotel was super-friendly and really made me feel at home after my very long day of travel. Thank you to all of you!

Greta location for those taking an early flight from Gatwick. The hotel is around 10 min away on foot from the train station. After having an issue with our shower, the owner offered himself to give us a lift to the airport early in the morning, waking up specifically for that. Very kind, mindful and caring. They keep the hotel clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet, and comfortable beds.

Great location (hotel is in Gatwick’s south terminal, 2 minutes from the monorail). The rooms are small but have everything you need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable; the shower really nice and hot. The food and drinks menu was varied and affordable. I had the breakfast delivered and was impressed with what I got for less than £8. Staff all very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent location and very quiet considering how close to Gatwick it is. Horley train station was within walking distance and so were Waitrose and several restaurants. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. The room was very nice and everything was as expected. I could not go back to a huge chain like Travelodge or similar.

The hotel is convenient for Gatwick airport (is is possible to walk if you know about the Sussex Border Path which will get you between the Gatwick Travelodge and the North Terminal). The Black Horse Pub is nearby which does above average pub meals. The ensuite was large albeit with a too-small shower module.

It was a perfect place to stay before a flight from Gatwick at a very good price. Everything I required was available for one night. It was a quiet location and I was surprised that we didn't hear any planes. It was also very easy to get to from Horley railway station and the journey to the airport was short.

I missed my connection at Heathrow and I was redirected to Gatwick. After a long day of disruption, arriving at Gatwick and finding the hotel inside the terminal was such a relief. Check-in was 5 minutes and dinner was simple but nice.

Very convenient for North Terminal. This is better than the rest of the Gatwick hotels, possibly the best of them. Rooms are large, comfortable and fine. Prepaid, so no check-out. Public areas are spacious and clean.

I arrived at almost 3 AM due to a delayed flight. Knowing that I was staying at the Bloc Hotel at Gatwick eased my mind. It’s perfectly situated at the South Terminal. The room is small but plush.

The parking for the airport and transfer service works out a lot cheaper than parking your car in Gatwick airport. The Indian restaurant inside the hotel served very good food.
