Perfect British setting for a perfect British breakfast.
I wanted to experience England that I remembered as a child, who moved to the States at 16.
The hotel is a paradise. Stroll the gardens.
Calm, quiet. The bathroom was updated and spotless.
The charming architecture and the art furnishings are traditional British, exactly what I wanted.
Wonderful food, really. And the bar is fun.
Which is exactly what I was seeking.

Twin room as comfortable as ever, with excellent shower and good television. No Saturday night live performances at this time, so evening quieter than past visits. Problems with catering staff meant no evening meal available. Did not book breakfast on site.
