Located a short distance from Coed y Brenin Forest Park, Plas Dolguog Hotel offers accommodations in a classic country house. Public parking is possible on site, and free WiFi is accessible... More like a country home than an inn...lovely grounds, excellent restaurant, wonderful staff.
Around 30 minutes’ drive from Aberystwyth, The White Lion Hotel is a traditional Welsh inn in the town of Machynlleth. Excellent breakfast, clean surroundings and staff who will bend over backwards for you. The place is hardly the height of modernity but it is well looked after and has a good traditional pub atmosphere. The food and selection of beer was great.
Located 5 Miles from Machynlleth, Bwlcheinion Sea View Glamping provides accommodations with seating area. Guests can also relax in the garden. Sitting by the fire pit with the wind blowing through, sheep and lambs calling each other, and a cold beer. Beautiful
Located in Machynlleth in the Powys region, Penrhosmawr provides accommodations with free WiFi. Beautiful location, great room (King Room) and lovely couple running the farm. Views out of every window and very friendly and helpful proprietor. Breakfast was very good. Even went to the trouble of buying us the brand of muesli we like.
Located in Machynlleth, Cwm Dylluan offers accommodations with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a buffet breakfast. The whole stay was exceptional. Great host lovely room and bathroom beautiful breakfast and a very tranquil setting but still close to a village for other meals. Beautiful setting with manicured garden. Quiet. Would certainly recommend.
Maenllwyd Guest House is located in Machynlleth and features a garden. The rooms at the guesthouse come with a seating area and a flat-screen TV. Everything else. Early checking, extremely kind guy, amazing room, really clean, chairs in the garden which I could sit in to read my books.. A lovely stay. Highly recommend it!
Offering a garden and free WiFi, Moelfre B&B has accommodations in Machynlleth. Fitted with a patio, the units feature a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer. Very clean. Lovely hostess. Great parking. Wifi. Lovely breakfast. Great bedrooms and en-suites.
A lovely little town, perfect base for exploring Snowdonia. Good train connections. We self catered, coop, butchers and market met our needs. Had fish and chips on the first night, shop had won awards but not the best for me. Small shops but some nice qerky things to find. Good central large car park with toilets.
A pleasant small town just outside the Snowdonia National Park. Still a good range of shops, although the antique dealers are multiplying which may not suit everyone. A deeent choice of places to eat and drink and a good touring base. Visitors using public transport will find a more than decent set of local bus routes.
Tough to get there if you are not used to the narrow roads, but a charming town. We were tracing our roots, one fourth of which came from Machynlleth for generations, so we were thrilled to be there. The owner of the B&B gave us a ride to the pub.
The town was interesting with lots of decor shops, antiques. The station was a bonus, trains taking you North or South on the wonderful Cambrian Coast railway. A few minutes to the mountain road leading to LlynClywedog is a must, and the towns of Aberdovey and Towyn are just a few minutes away along the beautiful Dovey Estuary. The amazing Museum of Modern Art is a great cultural find in such a small town. History, Wales' first Parliament building is a beautifully kept building, ancient and solid.

The house is so cozy and based on the images and other reviews was very pleased with how large the bedding area is. We’re both 5f8” and we’re more than comfortable, it’s actually like a little room up there :-) The fenced area is perfect when travelling like a dog like us and has enough room to park your car. The shower was lovely, larger than the last hotel we stayed in! I really can’t speak highly enough of the location, so peaceful and quite, with gorgeous views of a waterfall, mountain and sheep.

We only stayed for 2 nights and It was everything others had already said, Clare is so friendly and the pods are fantastic, you must remember it is clamping and not a hotel or b&b. If like us you forget things to bring as we were between hotels, they have it and yes of cause its extra but the charges weren’t bad at all. The view is to die for and the area is fabulous. We will definitely stay here again if down this way. Thank you Clare for your friendliness and knowledge of where to eat etc.

This is property is a gem; a little secret that's too good to share... Located in the peaceful village of Darowen with stunning views of the Welsh countryside. Machynlleth is a short drive away for your nearest shops. The kitchette has everything you'll need to make simple dishes for two. The attention to design and comfort really makes this studio more than just a home away from home. The owners are welcoming, discrete and helpful. Don't think about booking it, just do it!

Having the breakfast included at the pub was just ideal for us as we could have a no rushed start to the day and plan our day together. Cemmaes village was the perfect location for us, being central to both Machynlleth and Dolgellau towns which are good for shopping and local goods. There are plenty of walking trails down by the river Dyfi and up towards the windfarm. We used it as our base to visit the Centre for Alternative technology & King Arthurs Labyrinth.

Comfortable bed with modern decor. Very large parking area since the establishment was a former pub. Large bathroom with open shower. Shower had good flow and very good temperature consistency. Good breakfast. Packed lunch provided for following day. Assistance provided with transporting luggage up the stairs to the room.

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. My room was lovely, comfortable and clean. I had a lovely evening meal and a lovely breakfast. The staff worked very hard and were very friendly. I can recommend a stay at this hotel, a great place to unwind. I’ve already booked a return stay for New Years Eve, can’t wait!

The owners provided me with an early cooked breakfast so I could make an early start. Penrhosmawr seems quite remote but is located only about a mile from the small town of Machynlleth with pubs and shops. There is a good off road footpath along the road into town.

Very nice location. Lots of shopping and pubs nearby. Staff were very accommodating and even created a breakfast for our group as we left earlier than the normal breakfast was ready.

The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and done to a high standard. Lovely views. The kitchen was better than we expected, a decent size for a studio apartment with everything we needed. Situated within walking distance of local station. Parking at the rear easily available. Great communication with Lounge Holidays prior to visit.
