Location and beauty, right in the middle of many walks in the Peak District. Would have stayed longer but a storm arrived the same day I did. Very classy place.

Biggin Hall Hotel is a 3 star AA rated historic Grade II listed house of 17th Century origin with an AA awarded 1 rosette restaurant. It is set within 8 acres of grounds.

We travelled to Derbyshire to visit chatworth house and booked at the hotel very last minute. We was very impressed with how we were welcomed on our arrival by very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and we were provided with a free bottle of beer and Prosecco which was a nice surprise. We also didn’t expect to receive a free packed lunch to take with us even though we only stayed for one night.

The location was perfect, we did a couple of walks from nearby Hartington. The facilities were great at the property and was very clean.

We appreciated the personal welcome on arrival. Also the milk, coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, washing up lliquid and dishwasher tablets, etc which were very welcome. The accommodation was very well appointed with so many extra thoughtful features which made us feel at home. We enjoyed the visit from the peacock and the view of the silky chickens. Would highly recommend and certainly like to return again and again.
