We were there joining a larger group and had a fabulous time. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was excellent and the environment great. So good to see a local pub still full of people, and most of them locals.

We took a walk along the footpath from Dent station to our accommodation. The location was absolutely breathtaking, almost otherworldly. It felt like we had stepped back in time to an ancient world. The B&B owner was incredibly kind to us, even though we don't speak much English. The church visible from our room window was also beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. Quiet location but close to Sedbergh. Lovely walks in the area along the river. The cottage was clean, has comfy beds, an excellent shower and is nicely furnished, with attention to detail. Everything for a great stay was provided.

Plenty of walking up various hills, lots of bookshops to...

Plenty of walking up various hills, lots of bookshops to browse, had the chance to watch Lancashire cricket match on the school cricket field while we were there. Several pub options all serving good food, we mostly went to the Red Lion but tried them all ☺️
