The whole experience was great. Our superior room was perfect for the 3 of us. The sofa bed also excellent (rare in our experience), the separate bedroom and living area with 2 sofas and a dining table and chairs made the work I had to do whilst travelling easy. Modern stylish bathroom with both bath and shower was a great luxury. These rooms are separate from the main hotel and were totally quiet in the evening with beautiful country views. The staff all very helpful and the food was top quality. Dinner amazing at a very reasonable price.

Sunbank House Metro Hotel, Murrayshall Country Estate, and The Dunning Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Perth.
Great location for staying with children. Loved Auchingarich (wildlife park near Crieff), Blair Drummond safari park, The Discovery Centre and Camperdown park Dundee, Craigton Park and the beach at St Andrews, Perth swimming pool with flumes, walking across Perth Railway bridge with picnic on the island in the middle and on to Rodney Park and Norrie Miller riverside walk, great playpark on South Inch.
Black Watch Museum well worth a visit. BW cafe is excellent, try the soup and cheese scone!! Perth town centre is a bit tired but looks as if there is some work going on to improve it. Walks alone the river are a delight. Surrounding area is full of things to do and visit.
Perth has a great location. To the north and west are the Central Highlands, contrasting with the coastal resorts to the east. and south-east. It is easy of access from the central belt and further south with good motorway and rail links.. The city itself is small enough to walk out of into beautiful countryside, and there is a good service of local buses. Nearby historic locations include Scone Palace, Huntingtower and Elcho Castle. The Black Watch Museum and the Perth Art Gallery and Museum are well worth a visit. Kinnoull Hill should be ascended for the views and the small but beautiful Branklyn Garden is a must for plant lovers. Bell's Sports Centre and Dewars Sports Centre cater for the young and active. Golfers can play on the historic King James VI golf course on Moncrieffe Island. Perth has a theatre and a concert hall for evening entertainment and there are numerous high quality eateries in and around the High Street.
Compact centre. Easy to navigate and find what you’re looking for. Alway stopped several times on the bridge to take in the views of the river, really lovely, on the short walk from Arisaig guest house into the centre. Enjoyed a fabulous meal at Kisa’s restaurant along with a couple of cocktails - first class dining option in the outside terrace and loved the heated seat pads! Also liked the Capital Asset, cheap and cheerful JD Witherspoon for a light lunch and pint of Guinness.
It's a lovely area to visit. There are many breathtaking views and beautiful villages and hamlets. The Carse of Gowrie seems to have its own climate which is much calmer and benign than the rest of Scotland. Could do with a few more places to eat without having to go into the cities of Perth or Dundee, but lots of intriguing history.
Perth is a very green city, with lots of green spaces/Parke - North and South Inch, trees, impressive buildings and level walking, some along the river Tay. Lots of bars, restaurants and many cuisines available. Everyone was friendly. We were here for a family wedding , so we visited family rather than sightseeing, even though there is an ice rink and swimming pool/leisure centre and local sightseeing. We catered for ourselves except for a meal at Pacos a very eclectically decorated restaurant, food good, service friendly and organised which we would recommend.
Perth
The room is simple but huge, clean and comfortable, with good sitting area where we could relax ourselves after a long journey. The beds are comfortable. Bathroom is new and big. Shower is good. Kettle, Coffee, tea are all provided inside the room. Very good price. Simple breakfast but enough. Friendly staff. Easy check-in / check-out The hostel located in a queit area, could sleep very well in the night. Only a short drive from Perth. The best hostel we had stayed during our 15 days vacation in Scotland.
The hotel is near to the A9 in Perth so perfect for a half way stay between the North of Scotland and the North of England. You wouldn’t know how close proximity due to the village location and plentiful grounds. A lovely welcome, great food and not only was our puppy allowed, she was treated like another guest! Very friendly staff who couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. We spent a lovely afternoon/ evening in the gardens enjoying the sunshine before retreating for a meal inside. Would definitely recommend.
The accommodation rate was reasonable and a lot better than other hotels in the city. It was in a good central situation. The room was a good size, with the usual facilities and plenty of space for clothes and luggage. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was also a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is, apparently, the oldest established hotel in Scotland - goes back to 1699 - and can claim Bonnie Prince Charlie as a guest in 1745. Was surprised the hotel doesn't make more of this.
Perth
Thank you very much, we had a perfect stay. Our room was big, very well appointed and with a nice view to the park. The hotel is very good located so you are in a few minutes in the center of Perth. We felt in a moment at home. We had also scones and the possibility to make tea, coffee or a hot chocolate in the room. David was very obliging and offer us a car service to the airport. The breakfast was also very good. We highly recommend the Townhouse and hopefully we’ll come back.

Great central location in Perth with all the amenities needed. Clean and comfy. Really appreciated the washing machine! Host was very responsive when we needed something. Plenty of extra sheets, blankets and pillows.
Perth
It felt like a home from home. Jean and Andie were wonderful hosts. We were well looked after :0). The farm is situated very close to Perth with beautiful views across the River Ray and out towards the Lomond hills.
Arrived late in Monday night to find the regular jamming session on. Some great Scottish and folk music. Lovely short drive to Perth via backroad. Village alternative to staying in Perth. Good value for price.
