Loved the decorations, the wood stove, and the comfortable beds! The communications were great. We appreciated the thoughtful treats upon arrival! Hospitality was excellent. The kitchen was a bit narrow but perfectly functional. Some cookware needed a thorough cleaning. I mentioned it to the host, who accepted responsibilities and was very graceful. The building is traditional and beautiful. We only stayed one night in December. Would go back and would recommend it to anyone.

    The place is very quiet from city noise. Green around, there was a sea view. Kitchen with everything what we needed to prepare our food. Cleaning produkts enough for out time there. Very clean, tidy and cosy place.

    A peaceful, beautiful location with a lovely view of the bay from the lounge. The cottage was well equipped, especially the kitchen. It was cosy and warm in the living room but we needed the extra electric heater on as well as the storage heater, as the weather was very cold during our stay. Importantly, the beds were very comfortable. It was great to be able to walk to the local shop and the amazing seafood restaurant - The Pierhouse Hotel.

    I appreciated the personal and welcoming contact from owner by email. Excellent location , warm base in inclement weather, attractive, comfortable bedroom. On the whole very well equipped, kitchen had comprehensive range of crockery and utensils. Lovely peaceful setting, beautiful view, attractive courtyard, convenient parking. Very helpful, friendly and accommodating staff - top marks to everyone.

    Amazing views. Peaceful, quiet and private. Lurach House is light, bright, clean, fresh, well furnished and equipped and tastefully decorated. Good information file regarding the property, plenty of ideas of things to do including information about local walks and ordinance survey maps, appliances easy to use. Ideal self catering accommodation. Bottle of wine and box of Scottish Tablets a nice touch and much appreciated. We didn’t have any contact with the hosts however it wasn’t necessary as everything was very straightforward.

    We had a wonderful week at the Old Ferryhouse. Of all the many cottages I've stayed in over the years of visiting Port Appin, this was the absolute best for location - incredible to be right on the shore, and also in the heart of the village. The kids loved playing on the shore and paddle boarding in the bay. The sun room overlooking the shore was such a lovely space; that view! We had a great stay - spacious bedrooms, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water. We also really appreciated all the books and games.

    Lovely well appointed cosy cottage with fantastic sea/beach views in a beautiful part of the country. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need if planning to cook at home and the open plan kitchen, dining, living area was ideal for sharing a lovely weekend with 4 generations of our family.

    Location was unbelievable. Right beside Loch Linnhe. Beautiful views and large windows to see the view. Excellent host, very clear instructions about everything. Easy access. Small fault with shower fixed very quickly. Excellent broadband, TV and heating. Lots of thoughtful things like adapter strips for power, many guidebooks, kitchen consumables, rack for stuff in bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Space to sit outside beside the loch. New carpet in lounge.
