Very well appointed and decorated. Everything I needed and it was lovely and quiet. The Buck was so close to the cottage and people and staff in there were friendly.

The property was warm, cosy, and well equipped. The milk and biscuits were a nice touch. We liked the layout, and we liked the enclosed garden, which was safe for our dog. The location was excellent, so close to the village centre. Instructions on how to get there and access the property were detailed. Overall, this is a lovely property in a beautiful area. We can recommend it, and would stay there again.

Reeth is a little gem of a village in the heart of fell...

Reeth is a little gem of a village in the heart of fell walking. Cafes, ice cream parlour, traditional pubs offering good hearty food, post office shop, church and plenty more. Excellent of road parking for an optional few pounds donation. Scenery and walking is all around, just stunning.

3 pubs in the village.

3 pubs in the village. We visited 2 that were both friendly, and well run. Picturesque location in the Yorkshire Dales with large village green and shop. Convenient for The Herriot Way and The Coast to Coast walks.

It has most of what you would expect from a traditional...

It has most of what you would expect from a traditional Yorkshire Dales village and more, with a good mix of old and new. A very traditional inn, down to earth, with a good mix of locals and visitors, sits next to a recently refurbished one, apparently aiming for the higher spending tourists. A central area offers cobbled parking in front of inns and shops. There is still a village green, (with actual local children playing), a post office, a general store and a mix of other outlets for arts/crafts, gifts, ice-cream etc. Very easy access to both the gentler riverside aspects and the wilder moorlands of the area.

Short stay this time but Reeth is my favourite place to visit which I have done every year for almost 40 yrs. have sampled many different B& B’s, hotels and self catering accommodation in the area all had their own charm. A town that hasn’t changed from our first visit excepting we nearly always get an en suite now!

Lovely village for peace and quiet and a rest.The Ice Cream Parlour is amazing!!! There is plenty of parking on the village green and infront of the Hotels. Would definitely recommend going to Reeth and have a walk down to the river.

Reeth is a stunning village with cafes, couple of pubs...

Reeth is a stunning village with cafes, couple of pubs serving excellent food, a handful of shops and a fantastic ice cream parlour. It's a brilliant place for walkers, cyclist and the general outdoors or for anyone who just wants to tour beautiful Swaledale and the Yorkshire Dales.

Staff were very friendly and the location, close to Reeth at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, , is very special. Lovely countryside but not too isolated. Excellent walks from the door, great views and plenty of quiet areas to sit and read or chat. It was pretty busy on the Saturday night, Sunday breakfast was well attended and good value .

The guest house is a very short walk away from the nearest pubs. We stayed out of season so they did not serve breakfast but the host arranged for us to have breakfast in the bull inn which was lovely. The guest house is located in the centre of Reeth, so very convenient. The room was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay!

Just what we needed for a weekend walking -clean, warm room, lovely cup of tea, hot shower, comfortable bed, close to pubs right in the center of Reeth, welcoming host, relaxed atmosphere, and great breakfast. The ivy theme throughout the house was an added pleasure!
