Location was perfect. Was quiet and right on the base of Ben Lomond. Watersports also nearby and next to a nice pub that did good food. Perfect end to our trip around Scotland.

Located on the West Highland Way, Loch Lomond Lodge offers self-catering accommodations set within private grounds on the edge of Loch Lomond. This was an ideal location for us, and dog friendly. The people at the pub were lovely as were the meals, dogs were welcome and have a take away. It is a few minutes walk from the lodge. Lovely views, quiet and well kept as was the whole area. We knew there was no wifi but my son used his data which worked well and the Sky Tv worked well. Well equipped and good heating if you need it, we would go back. Thank you for the complimentary wine.

Hotel situated in a fabulous location overlooking the Loch Lomand. Secluded and quiet - good for hiking & nature walks. Good water sport facilities by an outside company. The stand up paddle boarding was never available on the 2 occasions we wanted to do it. Ideally it would have been good if the hotel gave a discount and made arrangements for reservation options at the time of check in. Menu was unfortunately limited, but some of the food was good.

A beautiful location with a basic but clean hotel. The staff were great and friendly . Food was nice but limited in choice, not great if you’re looking for a healthy meal. We were here for 2 nights so that wasn’t an issue. The play area was ideal for our 3 year old with little cars and trikes available. The range of water activities are good but book before you go by calling 03335770715 to avoid disappointment.

Accommodation was superb and the pub 100 yards away. The lodge is very near the start of the Ben Lomond path so we were able to start and finish at the lodge which was a major reason for booking this property.

Perfect location for climbing Ben Lomond, it is literally 5 minutes walk from Lodge. Also has a local favourite Conic Hill around 10 minute drive away in Balmaha. Great for families/hikers/watersports/dog walking.

Very beautiful place with a hotel and bar and right at the foot of Ben Lomond. Rowardennan hostel is good for a low-cost stay. Lovely, deciduous woodlands all around and a real haven for wildlife. Not the best of roads to get there but that keeps it nice and remote.

The isolation;
The isolation; being surrounded by the Scottish landscape, feeling that I was away from the usual touristy holiday. I felt challenged by the walking and cycling and there was plenty of help at hand I met some interesting people - not my age, gender or race - but felt we were 'all of one human heart' as the poet Wordsworth said
