We attended a concert in St Albans so the White Hart Hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the town but within walking distance of Verulamiam Park. Although it is in the centre of town, the room was quiet, comfortable and clean. That staff were very friendly and helpful. Car parking was also available.

A beautifully presented property, set within idilic boundaries, private with easy access to the town, great for nature lovers, and walkers.
Beaumont Mews is exceptional in many ways, waking up to a skylight, natural views from the large floor to ceiling glass walls. It’s romantic, it’s peaceful it’s a vibe.
Has all you will need, fridge, Wi-Fi, and the bathroom was great, loved the shower!
The communication with the property owner Joanne was amazing, they ensured our safe arrival and comfort during the stay, quick to respond and very attentive. Thank you so much for making our stay amazing.
Just book it!

A compact town centre but lits of shops and cafes.
A compact town centre but lits of shops and cafes. Upmarket in general with hardly any empty retail premises. Central Cathedral and Museum (free).
Busy with lots of school children at lunchtime. Very well behaved too!
Who knew? ::: England's first and only Pope. Longest Cathedral nave at 83 meters. Sam Ryder of Ryder Cup fame made his business here selling seeds. Sited astride Roman Watling Street. And much more.

Loved the area.
Loved the area. Such a sweet little town with exceptionally friendly residents. Many sites to visit, beautiful buildings, some cure cafes. On Saturday there is a market worth checking in.
You can walk through the town, no car needed. Many taxis available.
Worth travelling for the whole day.

I visited to learn more about the area, in particular the Cathedral and St. Albans' Roman origins. I'd encourage others to visit the Cathedral (no entrance charge but voluntary donations encouraged) and all the museum/heritage locations (Town Hall, Verulamium Roman Museum, Theatre etc.). The V. Roman Museum is fascinating and well presented.

A charming, characterful town, full of interesting shops, plenty of restaurants to choose from, and pubs galore! Of course the jewel in the crown is the cathedral, which is most impressive. Well worth a visit, but be prepared for the constant traffic jam up Holywell Hill.

St. Albans is a large town/ small city, with a good number of interesting old buildings, including a medieval bell tower, and several museums, including the excellent museum of Roman artefacts on the far side of the large park which drops down from the cathedral. The cathedral is a must if you are into old buildings, with its Norman tower made from Roman bricks among many other features. I was also made very welcome when I joined them for worship. The town has very good pubs, cafes and restaurants, and an extensive street market on certain days. The town itself probably merits a leisurely weekend stay if you enjoy lingering in the cafes, but the Thameslink trains make a day in London very easy, and, if you like old planes, a visit to the De Havilland museum ( no. 84 bus from the town centre ) is well worth it ( rather long walk up the drive from the bus stop, but there is parking at the museum if you take your car. )
Beautiful hotel and spa full of character. The grounds were smaller than expected took roughly 10 minutes to walk around. The spa was lovely. Clean changing areas and poolside. Our double room was a good size bigger than expected and the bed was huge. Breakfast was great with a good mix and great vegetarian options. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly. Rooms were well equipped with Elemis toiletries. Close to centre of St Albans.
A comfortable and conveniently located hotel, perfect for short stays and weekend breaks. A good sellection of breakfast available on site. There is a small bar as well to purchase drinks. A small outdoor seating area available at the front. Electric car charging points available on site; petrol station just next to the hotel. A shopping centre is also a short walking distance from the hotel.
Don't be deceived by the rather tatty apearance of the front door and hallways, the appartment itself is very good, very comfortable and right in the heart of St Albans city centre. It's close to all the best restaurants and bars and is a short walk from the Abbey and park. A very comfortable bed. Highly recomended if your on your own or a couple.
Beautiful room (we were in one of the newly refurbished rooms). The staff were very pleasant and personable. The room was spotless, the shower was one of the best I’ve ever had and the towels were soft and fluffy. The area surrounding the hotel was lovely, friendly and safe.
The breakfast was good (although not as large as the photo in the hotel's welcome pack would lead you to believe). The bar area was cosy and reasonable - although looking tired.
