Breakfast was buffet style and very adequate with lots of choices. It was pricey at £13.99 but children under 12 eat free.
Staff at breakfast were very kind especially the host.
All food was hot and plenty of food offerings included some GF options. would have liked veggie sausages.
Check-in is a bit slow so I would recommend that you check in online.
There is a lovely lobby and bar area and a small shop to buy essentials and drinks etc.
Toilets in public spaces are very clean.
Luggage can be left with the reception on check-in or check-out.
Felt very safe and welcome by staff.
There is a complimentary pitcher of fruit infused water at entarnce- nice touch.
The cleaning staff work very hard as do bar and breakfast staff- thank you!
The receptionists were also lovely.

The hotel rooms are beautiful, the bathroom was insane. Shower was amazing. Very clean and the bed was super comfy. The lady who checked us in took us up to the room, super helpful and kind! We had a drink in the bar and the kindness continued. Very very happy with our stay. Will definitely return if ever down London again
Ideally located close to Watford Town Centre, and with easy access to the M25 and M1 motorways, the Southern Cross is a friendly local pub with a lively atmosphere.

Breakfast was excellent. The landlord told us it was 2 for 1. We had two XL breakfasts for £7:50. We were thinking this will be interesting but it was excellent, a real first class breakfast. I would recommend anyone to try it.

We went to Watford purely for a family visit as this is where we used to live. It was great to go back and revisit some of our old favourite places and acted as a good base for us to travel out to other surrounding locations. I would however not recommend for a holiday destination as the main town centre has very few shops etc or much to see.
Great location for train line into London etc.

Watford is a great location from which you can access London. There are lots of different restaurants, shops and activities easily accessed in the centre of town. We found Watford was a great base to stay as it provided superb access to the Warner Bros Studios and the Harry Potter tour.

Near London but cheaper stay.
Near London but cheaper stay. Great location with the train station, lots of restaurants and shopping (Atria). I especially loved Simba Bru Coffee for coffee, Il Pellegrino for pasta, and Honest Burgers for burgers.
Very nice staff, good service. Always there to help, and big part of the reason we stayed longer. Breakfast buffet was extensive. Clean rooms. Just 200 meters away from the free shuttlebus to Harry Potter (Watford Junction) and 20 minutes by train to London City Euston. We visited a Nice italian restaurant about 10 min walk from the hotel, also saw a Foodmarket with many little restaurants just around the corner.
The cost was 89 for a room for 4 people. Breakfast was included in the price and free WiFi. The hotel is located next to Watford junction train station so we could travel into London easily. Paid 7 to park outside thw Hotel for an overnight stay. We left the car earlier than check in so we could go to a theatre show in London.
Clean modern flat, excellent central location near High Street with bars/restaurants and shopping centre.
Freindly host very helpful with any queries we had.
0.5 miles to either Watford High St or Junction stations with easy access to Central London
