Welcoming friendly greeting on arrival . In Pretty surroundings . Comfort and cozy with everything to hand, and welcome extras i.e drinks and scones etc, very much home from home, and we wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully we will stay again

Lovely accommodation separate from the pub, absolutely amazing relaxing stay. Such a big comfy room. Large big bed towels and toiletries. Loves stopping here. Ideal for bangers and cash fans and those who like Scarborough and Filey coast. The staff in the pub who run the accommodation was absolutely amazing very friendly and polite- nothing was too much trouble.

Started off charmed by the weeping willow and gorgeous stone...

Started off charmed by the weeping willow and gorgeous stone, but that quickly was lost. Family of 5, we drove up from wales and arrived late at night to find the Property hadn't been cleaned from previous guests! Used bedding on beds, old towels in the bath, opened food lying around, disgusting microwave, oven etc. On closer inspection the filthiness was more than one previous set of guests could have caused, thick layers of dust on skirting boards, marks in the toilet, very in need of updating and a DEEP DEEP clean by professionals. Rang number on booking site and it wasn't even for the owner so lots of phonecalls and messaging trying to sort it out. Thankfully family nearby so we ended up bunking down on their living room floor, not the nice little holidaybwe had planned for. Such a disappointment.

Absolutely stunning.

Absolutely stunning. Golden coloured stone cottages, ancient church, never locked, large garden filled with fruit trees, mature trees lining the stream which you have to cross to enter/exit village. Best to use bottom end as it is shallow.
