Very busy hotel. Queue for check in that busy. Comfy clean bed. Room furniture could do with update or overhaul. Very busy dining experience with long waiting but great server even if time was too long. Lots of pros & cons. Overall a great hotel stay

Great staff, excellent facilities and set in wonderful grounds, might be a bit isolated for some but for us it was an added bonus. Food was excellent, a buffet style breakfast but poached eggs cooked to order were brilliant and the one evening meal we ate in the restaurant did not disappoint. The spa area was immaculately clean and is well set out with a great steam room and more than adequate sauna, would have booked a treatment but our agenda did not allow.
The main car park is some distance away and at the bottom of a steep hill, there is a drop off point and blue badge parking at the entrance but would advise booking this space if it is essential to you. All in all a great experience and likely to book again if we revisit the area.

This is a great place for families to go.
This is a great place for families to go. The pool has a lovely side and is not to deep. The are a lot of places to explore and enjoy. The breakfast was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to help get people settled.

Marcus on reception needs a big shout out, very helpful, professional and polite, a credit to the organisation.
Pool facilities are great. Really clean and the steam room and sauna are great!.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I would definately book here again, excellent short break.

Beautiful hotel in the countryside.
Beautiful hotel in the countryside. Made me feel relaxed and pampered. Nice walks in the grounds and plenty outdoor activities. Golf course was great & reasonably priced.
Enjoyed a morning swim in the pool.
Ate in the Brasserie restaurant, food delicious. Great variety for breakfast and plenty of it.
Will definitely return, good value.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Slaley Retreat. The location was ideal for us, and the caravan was absolutely impeccable — beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect addition and made our stay even more relaxing.
We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and would happily recommend Slaley Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable break.

Beautiful hotel. Every single member of staff we met were lovely and could not find a fault. Had a birthday plate made for my partner left in the room which was a lovely treat with a free upgrade to our room. Well worth the money we paid and we are already looking when we can return. Thank you to the Slaley Team for making our trip the best.

Quiet peaceful village location and perfect for any events at Slaley Hall.
