Loved everything about the salmon leap. Basic, clean and lovely breakfast.

The friendly staff, the lovely breakfast included. The gorgeous building and tasteful decoration. Getting help up the stairs with my bags. The surroundings, so peaceful.

Staff was really friendly and helpful great location opposite the bus station and 5 mins from the railway station. Easy to get around whitby from the hotel .. friendly fun bar too

What a beautiful accommodation! Very nice location, spacious and very clean rooms with new furniture. Simply excellent breakfast. In my opinion the best place we could have chosen.

We love your bar are the two gentlemen on duty that night we’re just spectacular. We had been told no dinner table until 7.45 but did not advise us we could eat in the bar…….Tony took care of everything. Alex was also very prompt with requests and polite in our dealings. Great evening meal.

Me and my British friend had a wonderful one night stay. We will be back definitely for a longer time. Dear Royal Hotel Whitby, thank you so much for the pleasant experience. The staff are super friendly and nice, we were even offered to have free dinner. I come from Hungary so the stew I’ve got was just as nice as in my hometown, Budapest.

We were remembered from visiting before. It was logged on the system I am allergic to milk and soya milk was provided. Lovely receptionist Cathy x

The room was huge, the location is excellent, high level of comfort with breakfast delivered to our lounge room. Very friendly, helpful hosts. The bed is very comfortable - like sleeping on a cloud.

Hotel room was in a separate building to the pub meaning it was lovely and quiet. The staff went over and above, the food was lovely. Beds were comfy. It exceeded expectations
