Tenbury is a small town with some historical parts (old pump room and the local market). Good local shops, everyone was so welcoming Easy to park and walk around the town. Good food served at the Rose & Crown.
We had a lovely time. We spoke to lots of locals and they are so friendly and upbeat even after the devastating flood they had 3 weeks previous! I wish them all the best getting up and running again. I hope our little bit of ‘spending’ helps towards tourism to rebuild your beautiful town.
Tenbury is an unspoilt North Worcestershire former Victorian Spa town, which, although small, has charm by the bucketload. The independent shops are owned by geuninuely friendly local people and it has not been spoilt by second home owners or long distance commuters. We found two gems of cafes where we breakfasted, there are also a couple of gift shops and a couple of antique shops, as well as some Tudor Pubs.
Tenbury is steeped in history with good walks on your doorstep and plenty of cafes/bistros to replenish at later on . Just 20 minutes from the motorway . Great breakfast at Market Cross Inn and good evening meals at Pembroke Inn .
Tenbury is a lovely market town with many interesting buildings, local walks, cafe's and restuarants. The Kings Head does good food and beer, and there are a number of good pubs within a short distance. Tenbury is well placed for exploring Ludlow and the surrounding Worcestershire Herefordshire and Shropshire countryside
We found traffic a problem which was not helped by road works. It is a pretty town with riverside pubs and beer gardens, but we could not find a place to park so were not able to stop and enjoy so just continued on to our hotel.
