I know Warminster very well having lived there for 40 years.
I know Warminster very well having lived there for 40 years. It is a very pleasant town to stay in and central to both Bath and Salisbury for touring. The actual town is dead in the evenings and does not appear to have any social acivities. Public transport is poor .

Warminster is in easy reach of tourist attractions.
Warminster is in easy reach of tourist attractions. While we were there we visited Stourbridge house,Longleat Safari Park,Stonehenge,Nunnery Castle an Clearwater Lake.Making Warminster an ideal place to stay.

We were staying to explore Wiltshire, and felt it was well positioned. The town has supermarkets including Waitrose and Morrisons. There is a station, and plenty of places to eat including take-aways. You are close to Longleat if that's your thing, but it was closed at the time of our visit.

Warminster is a perfect location to see the many sites the area has to offer, the local train station is convenient to Bath, Bristol and Salisbury all worth a visit for a day. We went out twice for an evening meal, The Lamb at Hindon and The Prince Leopald at Upton Lovell, food was fantastic, but make sure you book ahead it can get really busy.

This hotel has lovely bedrooms with great facilities. It is very clean and the staff are very helpful. It has a very pleasant location and the setting is good. It is very close to Longleat and other lovely settings.

The food and drinks were exceptional. We had afternoon tea, dinner in the Lounge Bar and the Garden Grill, all delicious. Breakfast was excellent too. We enjoyed our family room space, beds were very comfortable and portable radiator was so handy for the chilly December nights. The only hotel that has decent swim times for children and everything was very clean.

Excellent in every respect! Trisha is a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable host. Our room was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The location on the edge of Warminster is good for all the local sights and attractions. Highly recommended and hope to stay again before too long!

The cottage was in a quiet village yet very close to other facilities. We were visiting Longleat and it was a perfect distance from there.
It was clean and cosy as described. We are two friends so not looking for romantic!
The outside area was cool and sheltered. The garden looked cool and inviting but we were not in the cottage long enough to use it
