Afitos is pretty touristic as it is close to neighbouring countries. The Tuesday morning market in Kassandria has a lot of local products and fresh fish. Most of the restaurants are mediocre, the lovely exception is Grigoris Tavern on the main road. Kalitea has a big supermarket.

The small town is cozy and the streets are clean, well paved and comfortable to walk. Many restaurants and some very good restaurants with excellent sea-food (red snapper, sea bass). Regretful, the small church was closed. There is a nice platform overlooking the sea with excellent restaurants. The city center is closed for traffic after dark. Streets are not comfortable for cars (too small and not level).

Our favorite beach was Liosi (ponta) this time. Old city is beautiful. We have been with a car, but everything is on a walking distance. Price are a bit higher then on other places on Kasandra leg, but is worth every penny. Restourant(see food) recommendation goes to TaGlarakija- on Afytos Strand.EmilSerbia - Scored 1010

We liked the busy streets, old stone houses, restaurants, bakeries and shops. We ate twice in Vouka and once in Strouboulis, had ice cream for kids from several shops, some cocktails in Notos, croissants from Lemonis bakery, shpped from Ok grocery market, even bought some nice souveniers and bracelets for the kids. It is one of the most charming vilages on Kassandra and if not in whole Halkidiki. Charming stone houses, beautiful seaview, nice restaurants and souvenir shops, and few boutiques with authenthic Greek designer items . There is also magnificent old church of St Dimitrios in the vilage center, I find it a "must see"KojicNorth Macedonia

By opening the door you are already on the main pedestrian street. There is a free of charge private parking a hundred meters away. Actually the hotels looks like it is brand new.
