This spot is very quiet and unique and excellent for relaxation or if you have small kids because of the zoo. The view is breathtaking. The food was excellent. Very clean and roomy. Our room walked right out onto the pool deck that was huge and looked over an amazing landscape to the ocean. Good parking very close to the rooms. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

A really nice experience staying at the "Kentrikon" hotel. It is literally right in the middle of Chalkida which is convenient since you do not have a car for a walkthrough into the city. The apartment is on the second floor of a quiet residential building. The entrance lobby is beautiful with marble floors and decorative plasterwork walls. A tiny concertina-shutter lift takes you up to the second floor. The apartment is tastefully renovated with high ceilings, clean decor and new appliances. The bedroom is separate to the open plan kitchen-living space which we really appreciated, having previously stayed in lots of studio apartments.

It was very beautiful all the area around the old bridge.

It was very beautiful all the area around the old bridge. We tried very nice food-fish at Delfinia and have very nice places for coffee and sweet treats (crepes, ice cream et.c.). Very easy to walk around and the taxis are very easy to find and cheap. The market is easy accessible aqnd have nice clothes and other things. Overall very nice visit for short stay.

it was my 3rd time in Chalkida: its a 100.000 inhabitants...

it was my 3rd time in Chalkida: its a 100.000 inhabitants town and its typical Greek city: dirty, loud, traffic out of control - every driver is doing what he wants. be careful when you cross the road by foot!! you have a very clean and calm shopping mall and a tourist area on the beach where is a lot of Restaurants. unfortunately, the later the evening, the louder the music. we were in Mostar meeting friends and you could not understand your own word. whats sense of so loud music in a Restaurant? around Chalkida there are a lot of wonderful, peaceful places. visit the beach areas or the Castle Cafe for a good cup! prices in most restaurants are very fair, but be careful not to be tricked: especially when you choose fish, ASK BEFORE what it will cost!

Chalkida is a unique city with a canal and an old bridge...

Chalkida is a unique city with a canal and an old bridge famous for its "crazy waters" meaning the high and low tide which you can actually see . It has beautiful cafés on the promenade in front of the canal fantastic shopping, lots of pedestrian streets for good quality shopping, great food. It is a great escape from Athens for a weekend or a couple of days at the entrance of Evia island. You can go to further destinations in Evia easily. I would highly recommend the city for a short stay. Bear in mind that it is difficult to get around by car but the parking spots are very affordable. I would recommend the seaside of Lefkanti 20 min away

The facilities we very good but the daily upkeep of our room was not up to the standard we would expect given what we paid.. I was totally overawed by the total dominance of the French this resort who at times felt they owned the hotel.. I know we live in a very multicultural world however the dominance of the French left a sour taste in my mouth.

It's a decent city, just over an hour away from Athens. The seaside promenade has some good tavernas. Perhaps the best part of this town in its excellent Archaeological Museum, located near the bus station.

Chalkida is close enough to travel to nearby villages and still have time to come back and enjoy the area. There are many coffee shops and restaurants that are walking distance. Great place that is close to Athens, about an hour away.

The Kentrikon Hotel is well-located, comfortable, clean, and is great value-for-money. The staff are great and very helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the waterfront of Chalkida and its many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Easy car parking at the rear of the hotel was provided at no extra charge.

The apartment is clean, spacious, well-equipped, sturdy :) (it withstood an earthquake that we experienced there), and our host was impeccable! It's located close to absolutely everything...the city center, restaurants, the beach, shops.. Chalkida is fabulous...we will definitely return!

The pool area was one of the best parts of this hotel. It was clean, relaxing, and never too crowded. The staff was extremely friendly and always available to help. My room was also very clean and comfortable, which made the whole experience even better.
