The apartment is spotless and recently renovated. It’s equipped with all the necessary appliances like washing machine and a spacious, modern kitchen. There’s also a small outdoor terrace there. The location is excellent: just a 3–4 minute walk to the sea, where you’ll find a beach and fish taverns, and only 4–5 minutes on foot to the train station, with trains to Kalavryta. Diakopto is quiet and the apartment is peaceful as well. If you’re arriving by public transportation, note that the Diakopto is connected by train to the Kiato, where you can catch connecting trains to Corinth, Athens and Athens Airport. It’s also accessible from the Aigio city by bus and train. Keep in mind that there are no direct routes to Isthmia or Patra, so if you’re coming from Kalamata or Patra, you’ll need to travel via Aigio.

What Guests Said About Diakopto:

Diakopto still retains its Greek small town atmosphere.

Diakopto still retains its Greek small town atmosphere. It wasn’t overrun by foreign tourists and where were plenty of good restaurants serving authentic Greek food. The beaches are typical for this region, not sandy but pebbles. The level of overall cleanliness wasn’t that good. Big collective rubbish bins were overflowing and there was rubbish next to them. They were very smelly in the heat. Locals seemed not bothered by plastic waste randomly discarded. Diakopto is a beautiful area with many points of interest nearby. The water was beautiful and clear and there were hardly any sea urchins. I like Diakopto and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience regional Greece.

The place is not to heavy on tourists, they and we mainly come for the Vouraiko train (must see!). It would have been great to have known upfront that the seats on the train are not many so booking is necessary.

The place to catch the railway up the mountains to Kalavryta...

The place to catch the railway up the mountains to Kalavryta. It also has a limited rail service to Athens and is close the the main Pelopponees motorway. It is very much off the tourist map and the town offers little in the way of attractions. It is however ideal for those wishing a quiet stay. Not a place to entertain children.

It was a quiet clean venue with close by restaurant facilities near to the beach. We were out of season and it only opened at weekends. The main tourist attraction of the rack railway was not operating due to a land slide blocking the line.

The place is situated right in front of the sea, two nice restaurants nearby. The rooms are renovated not long ago and in general everything looks very neat. 15 min of walk from the Diakopto railway station to Kalavrita. There’s all useful information in the room (taxi, restaurants, emergency and etc.). The lady that welcomed and checked in us was very nice. Pets friendly place! There was a place to dry beach towels and clothes.
