I went there in order to visit the ancient site.
I went there in order to visit the ancient site. I arrived on a Monday, and intended to visit on Tuesday. The site is closed on Tuesdays! So I went Monday afternoon, and it was great because there was hardly anyone else there.
The town is right on the coast, but rather spoiled by the massive container shipping, and oil refinery. It's not really a coast for sunbathing or swimming.
There are plenty of shops and masses of cafes. The locals were friendly (this was just before main tourist season, so that probably helped!).

There is also an excellent local ceramicist who is highly skilled and makes high quality replicas for acropolis museum and others (Minoan - Hellenistic)

Good location, walking distance from popular spots in Elefsina and various supermarkets. Loads of bus services around the area as well. The elevator in the building is quick, I never found myself waiting long for it.
The apartment is quite big, bigger than I expected. Kitchen is a great size with a huge fridge. The living room has a nice coffee table and sofa. The bed is comfy and there's a fair bit of storage for clothes.
The balcony is a nice touch. Having an iron and steamer available was very hand as well.

Lovely apartment, well appointed in a very nice neighborhood in Elefsina. A short walk to all amenities, cafes, taverns, near the water and close to all transport. The hosts are gracious, good natured and very available to help with all guests needs.
The apartment has all the facilities one needs for a self contained stay.
