Location was perfect for me. Within easy walking distance to all the major sights. Room was alway perfectly clean. I only availed of the breakfast once but it was lovely. Hotel also has a lovely roof restaurant and terrace with fantastic views of the Acropolis and Parthenon. And you couldn’t get nicer staff.

Acropolis

Long before it became known as Bloomfield Falls, this magnificent waterfall was called Wujal Wujal by the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people. Hire a guide and learn why these people still consider Wujal Wujal to be sacred. Or just head down with your 4x4 and a picnic hamper, and have lunch in serious style!

A must to visit, it is climbable, I am 75 and with help from my daughter I made it to just before the top, I'm afraid of heights so didn't make the top with the crowds. Best time to go is 8am, our time was changed to 10am, due to a strike. If you are unable to climb the steps there is a cart that takes you to a lift which takes you to the top.

Go very early in the day, or very late, to avoid the huge crowds. Buy your timed tickets in advance, and they are separate from the museum. The museum is great, but there are several better collections in the center of Athens.

Nice to see but 30 euro is really too much for seing a few stones. Not much left of this area, like most temples of ancient Greece. We were a bit dissapointed. Greeks build an immage on the old history. A lot more labour of reconstruction could be done by escavating areas and putting the pieces together to look more like the original. Visitors should at least be permitted to walk inside the area of the temple.

Ancient wonder. It was a beautiful day when we visited the Acropolis. Majestic structure against blue skies. Tough parts of the monument is under renovation, the pathway for tourists was very well marked. People could walk around find the best photography angels and just soak in the history.

The apartment is really easily accessible, staff was helpful anytime i had any requests. Close to the metro, bus and tram stations of Sygrou Fix, 3 minutes walking to them, which is 1 station away from Acropolis and 2 from Syntagma. Quiet area with everything you need to a really short distance. Highly recommended if you want to have a good staying, and access Athens’ biggest attractions easily and fast.

The location was perfect for exploring Athens - right next to Philapappos Hill which has amazing views of the Acropolis. We loved that we were only a short walk from the Acropolis and historic centre, yet the area that the apartment is in is peaceful and didn't feel super touristy. The apartment was well equipped and the hosts were super helpful. The robes and slippers were a really nice touch and we appreciated that the host offered to clean the apartment and change linen/towels etc halfway through our one week stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in Athens, largely thanks to the fantastic location. The apartment is right in the city center, just a 5-minute walk from the Acropolis – you can't beat that for convenience. Yes, the area is noisy, but the windows do an excellent job of blocking out the sound, so sleeping wasn't an issue at all. The room itself was big and spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated.

Great location, you can walk to all main attractions in Athens or take a metro, which is 100 meters from the entrance to the hotel. Beautiful view of Acropolis from the roof terrace bar/restaurant/jacuzzi area. Very good selection of food for breakfast. Nice spa like touches in the room with bathrobes, slippers and good soaps and lotions. Daily cleaning, change of towels and supply of water bottles.

This is just a perfect place to stay when going on a city trip to Athens. The apartment looks clean and I loved how it is structured, the owner, Antonis, will do his utmost best to make sure you have a pleasant stay, and the metro station is within walking distance, as well as Syntagma square and Monastiráki square. Besides highlights as the Acropolis, The National Garden and Ancient Agora, also Edem Beach is easily reachable with public transport. Highly recommended!

It's a great apartment with a wonderful terrace in a residential district of Athens. We loved the space, nice interior design a proper kitchen with a stove, an oven and a dishwasher. Compared to hotel rooms, our stay with kids felt almost like we would be at home. And you can easily reach the old town or Acropolis by foot.

Go beyond the Acropolis and explore the Agora and Kerameikos, imagining yourself entering Athens along the road from the port of Piraeus, and following the Panathenaic Way to the Akropolis. Stop at the museums along the way to understand the significance of each site. Then visit the National Archaeological Museum to see that classical Athens is just one of Greece's many magnificent cultures.

If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

Consider visiting Athens in May or September.

Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
