Absolutely everything about this hotel was 10 out of 10. From the moment we arrived when we were greeted with the friendliest and most helpful and generous check in process I have ever experienced to the moment we left was outstanding. The room was fantastic with breath-taking views. The location couldn't be better and the service and helpfulness of the staff was wonderful. A small place with 5 star service and comfort. Amazing. Thank you.

Acropolis

Long before it became known as Bloomfield Falls, this magnificent waterfall was called Wujal Wujal by the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people. Hire a guide and learn why these people still consider Wujal Wujal to be sacred. Or just head down with your 4x4 and a picnic hamper, and have lunch in serious style!

A must to visit, it is climbable, I am 75 and with help from my daughter I made it to just before the top, I'm afraid of heights so didn't make the top with the crowds. Best time to go is 8am, our time was changed to 10am, due to a strike. If you are unable to climb the steps there is a cart that takes you to a lift which takes you to the top.

Go very early in the day, or very late, to avoid the huge crowds. Buy your timed tickets in advance, and they are separate from the museum. The museum is great, but there are several better collections in the center of Athens.

Nice to see but 30 euro is really too much for seing a few stones. Not much left of this area, like most temples of ancient Greece. We were a bit dissapointed. Greeks build an immage on the old history. A lot more labour of reconstruction could be done by escavating areas and putting the pieces together to look more like the original. Visitors should at least be permitted to walk inside the area of the temple.

Ancient wonder. It was a beautiful day when we visited the Acropolis. Majestic structure against blue skies. Tough parts of the monument is under renovation, the pathway for tourists was very well marked. People could walk around find the best photography angels and just soak in the history.

We had a wonderful stay at The Dorians. The location is excellent, with convenient private parking just behind the hotel. Our room was modern, spacious, and very comfortable, with a lovely terrace. The rooftop offers a fantastic view of the Acropolis and is the perfect place to relax. A special thank you to the receptionist, who was absolutely delightful, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality. A great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Athens.

The view of the Acropolis from the balcony was great! The location was very convenient - easy to get to Monastiraki and Syntagma, and lots of shops and restaurants around. We walked everywhere. The apartment had everything we needed. The washing machine and airer were very useful and our clothes dried quickly in the Athens heat. The shutters blocked out the light and noise from outside.

Great location, helpfull host, great Greek vibe of apartment nice feeling if you like Greece and not "sterile modern" vibe of new apartments with no soul. This apartment has an amazing location to go around the city and view to Acropolis. I am recommending this place to everyone and will come back to the same place if going back to Athens.

The apartment was clean and bed was comfortable. The kitchen had all the facilities you needed. It is central in Athens to Pangrati and Acropolis area. There is a washing machine but note it is not in the apartment but downstairs to share. The rooftop.area was very nice to sit and relax with a nice view.. The gym area was simple but nice to have.

We stayed in Flora, which was hugely spacious & comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, right from vooking through to departure. The hotel is boutique & located in Psire, which is a great part of Athens with lots of restaurants, bars & taverna on lanes mostly closed to vehicles. The Acropolis is also within walking distance. Some particular favorites we discovered were Ya Zhou, the Asian fusion restaurant next door & Boo! for cocktails & sounds about 30m up the road.

The apartment was exactly as advertised and is within 700 meters of the number 1 Green and 3 Blue train lines, which is excellent to get to and from the port and airport. It is a 10 minute walk to Thiseio, where there are some nice bars and restaurants to suit all budgets, along with unobstructed views of the Acropolis. We would stay again when in Athens.

The hotel is cozy and of human size, it is in the very center and yet in a very quiet street. The people at the réception, at the bar and at the breakfast are very welcoming and friendly. I have been a hotel reviewer and travelled very extensively and this is one of the best hotel:apartments we’ve ever stayed in 🧿🧿🧿 and we’ve stayed in four other apartments in the Koukaki area. The view of the Acropolis Museum is astonishing, the access and amenities and every detail, the light switches, the taps, the heating and cooling, the cleanliness and character - it's all unbeatable. We loved our stay and won't consider staying anywhere else in Athens.

Go beyond the Acropolis and explore the Agora and Kerameikos, imagining yourself entering Athens along the road from the port of Piraeus, and following the Panathenaic Way to the Akropolis. Stop at the museums along the way to understand the significance of each site. Then visit the National Archaeological Museum to see that classical Athens is just one of Greece's many magnificent cultures.

If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

Consider visiting Athens in May or September.

Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
