The room has view to the Acropolis with amazing scene for night view and day view. Also, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially Irini and Natasa from the reception. They helped us to find the times for the boats to the islands near Athens and they gave us welcoming drinks.

Acropolis

Long before it became known as Bloomfield Falls, this magnificent waterfall was called Wujal Wujal by the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people. Hire a guide and learn why these people still consider Wujal Wujal to be sacred. Or just head down with your 4x4 and a picnic hamper, and have lunch in serious style!

A must to visit, it is climbable, I am 75 and with help from my daughter I made it to just before the top, I'm afraid of heights so didn't make the top with the crowds. Best time to go is 8am, our time was changed to 10am, due to a strike. If you are unable to climb the steps there is a cart that takes you to a lift which takes you to the top.

Go very early in the day, or very late, to avoid the huge crowds. Buy your timed tickets in advance, and they are separate from the museum. The museum is great, but there are several better collections in the center of Athens.

Nice to see but 30 euro is really too much for seing a few stones. Not much left of this area, like most temples of ancient Greece. We were a bit dissapointed. Greeks build an immage on the old history. A lot more labour of reconstruction could be done by escavating areas and putting the pieces together to look more like the original. Visitors should at least be permitted to walk inside the area of the temple.

Ancient wonder. It was a beautiful day when we visited the Acropolis. Majestic structure against blue skies. Tough parts of the monument is under renovation, the pathway for tourists was very well marked. People could walk around find the best photography angels and just soak in the history.

It's a great apartment with a wonderful terrace in a residential district of Athens. We loved the space, nice interior design a proper kitchen with a stove, an oven and a dishwasher. Compared to hotel rooms, our stay with kids felt almost like we would be at home. And you can easily reach the old town or Acropolis by foot.

The apartment is beautiful. Everything about it was of a high standard and excellent quality. The beds were extremely comfortable and it has an amazing view of the acropolis. The location is perfect for exploring Athens. Loads of fab’ restaurants, cafes and shops nearby and walking distance to the acropolis and museum. We were met by the lovely Alex from the company who talked us through the apartment’s facilities and sent us recommendations for places to eat and visit.

Great apartment with sentral location. The balcony was so nice with bubble bath and amazing view of Acropolis. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished. Lovely bathrooms and kitchen. Perfect for a comfortable stay in Athens. There are lots of great restaurants and bakeries just outside - and make sure to try the ice cream shop by the entrance and the Souvlaki right outside.

Excellent location near the Acropolis. The person at reception was very kind, and getting the key was easy. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed everything about this apartment. The bed was very comfortable. The water in the shower was always hot. The location was quiet and yet within a two minute to Plaka and Acropolis. Also close to the subway station. Host was excellent and was always available. We would gladly stay here next time in Athens and we’ll recommend to our friends if traveling to Athens.

The apartment was fantastic. It was as just as it was in the pictures. It’s situated in a very nice part of Athens. Barely a 10min walk to the acropolis. Not to mention there were fantastic coffee shops in the area. The bed is very comfortable too. I slept very well here. They even had Netflix on the tv which was nice. If I was going back to Greece I’d absolutely stay here again. The staff are very friendly and were quick to reply to me whenever I had a question.

Go beyond the Acropolis and explore the Agora and Kerameikos, imagining yourself entering Athens along the road from the port of Piraeus, and following the Panathenaic Way to the Akropolis. Stop at the museums along the way to understand the significance of each site. Then visit the National Archaeological Museum to see that classical Athens is just one of Greece's many magnificent cultures.

If you want to avoid crowds while seeing the famous sights, start out early and be at the sights when they open. I arrived at the Acropolis around 8:10 AM and there were only around 20 people on the whole compound. It was wonderful! There was a crowd climbing the hill when I descended, though!

Consider visiting Athens in May or September.

Consider visiting Athens in May or September. May is just lovely. Spring flowers like poppies and daisies cover the hills. It's not too busy and not too hot. Remember that on holidays you are always moving so consider the weather when you make your plans. Also, research opening hours as the Acropolis is closed May 1; and other Ancient Landmarks are closed on certain days and on certain hours any other day.
