Flat, easy to walk around. Rent a bike. Lots of shops open till late. Crowded as lively. Prices are ok. Small train to enjoy a quick sightseeing. Lovely port to stroll, take photos, check on big boats for daily trips and have a drink. Lots of coffee shops and pizza restaurants with free sun beds by the seaside in the town but too steep for children or elderly and waves by ferries
A very vibrant resort with so much to do. Wonderful bars and restaurants that cater for all. The old town is lovely and I so enjoyed working around in the day or night .. little cobbled streets and so many shops Great bus links around the Island from the bus station or catch a boat ride to other idyllic islands/ or to Bodrum in Turkey for the day. You can hire bikes everywhere for about 5 euros a day and its all flat around the area So many lovely people go to Kos year after year and its got me hooked too!
KOS town is OK The rest of the Island however is nothing more than a dusty dirty Limestone Rock that has little to offer -KOS TOWN is OK if you want to sit at the Harbour and Eat mostly Burger Gyros and usual Tourist Food
Possibly a bit snobbishly, we thought Kos town might be loud and tacky! However, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean, welcoming and just all round lovely it was. At 51, I am clearly not up for the ‘scene’ at night but wandering through as the sun was setting, there was a buzz about the place which seemed universal and inclusive to all. As with most things these days, it was not cheap, but the more traditional bars and restaurants offered delicious food at reasonable prices. Sunset restaurant was amazing, Alberto’s great for the views and Fidelio’s for the fish souvlaki. Seems the most popular way to travel is by ped or bike, but easily walkable too. Would certainly recommend Kos town and the island itself to anyone wanting a friendly, laid back and welcoming break in the beautiful Greek sunshine.
kos town is nice and interesting: good shops and museums and all you need- the therme were a bit special: no nice accomodation there is just a walled place in the sea (this i expected much better as it is wellknown)- the kos-museum is excellent and all over the city center you see and can walk around and in the ruines - the city and surroundings are also good for bike-tours - and buses can take you to other parts of the islands (could be more)
Kos Town was immaculately clean! It is very walkable and even though we didn't participate, we liked the fact that it is very bike-friendly. The public transportation was also very user-friendly and fortunately for us underused. All the significant sites were around Kos Town except Asklipeion which we took the short bus ride to. We liked all the restaurants we ate at: Ali's, Platanos and one of the Fish Taverns. The museum is a gem and just the right size! Next time I would research for a local boat to go to Kalymnos since the tourist boats don't take you to the main harbor. Next time I would visit the beaches. Three days were plenty for ancient sites but not if you want to also enjoy the beaches.
The hotel is about a 30minute walk to the town centre and you can reach the first section of the beach in approx. 10mins. For a bit of atmosphere at the beach it’s about a 20min walk. The hotel was clean, we got upgraded which was a lovely surprise and the room was always clean as were all other areas of the hotel. Staff are very helpful and given the issues with Covid-19 were always ensuring safety measures were in place. There was a good variation of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and there was always an option that was liked.
The Aktis has been on our tick list for a while, so as this was our first trip to Greece post lockdown, we decided to stay for our final night. Large comfortable room, with those amazing views directly over the Aegean through the room width windows and from the generous balcony. Loved everything about it - Rafaela on reception was a delight, pronted our COVID documents for us and made us feel like individuals. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
The Service level with almost hit excellence level and worth a 5 stars hotel. Meanwhile you are in all inclusive hotel with thousands of customers, the staff at all level are disposed and bring you a rarely expected service level. Bedrooms are great with excellent beds comfort. The hotel bedrooms are excellents and even if meal times are crowded, the food and verity is very good.
Location was perfect and the hotel was very close to main attractions, old town and best beaches in Cos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and had lots of varieties and choices. Room was perfectly clean. We stayed there 2 days and would definitely want to stay once again. Don’t forget to play with “pati” if you stay there :)
Staff at reception and in restaurant were very friendly and very efficient. Breakfast buffet was excellent - plenty of choices. Pool area was clean and well cared for. COVID rules were very clear, with everyone fully compliant. Regular (and cheap) bus service into the centre of Kos (bus stop right outside hotel).
Kos
The place is in a great location, close to the beach and a walking distance to a Kos town center. The rooms are cleaned every day and the cleaners are doing a great job. There is aircondition in the rooms. Also, there are pots and an electric kattle so you can make a coffee or food.
The hosts were kind and helpful and available to us whenever we needed something. The hotel just only a block off the main beach in town and a short walk to the marina area where all the boats came in. We had wonderful breakfast on the patio every morning with fresh orange juice!
It was very central, it took you like 15 min to the beach and the city centre. The whole hotel is just beautiful with all the little details, especially the rooms. And the personal was so lovely and nice. It’s worth it. And If I ever visit Kos again, it’s the hotel for me.
Great base for a short stay near to the harbour and the various sites to see in and around Kos Town. Set back from the busy.centre, with some lovely eateries nearby. Room modern and clean. Good breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.
Kos
The breakfast was very good, lots of choices and they made everything if you requested something in particular. The location is also quite good, it is quiet but near the busy centre of Kos. The pool is wonderfull and cool!
Location was perfect for the port which you could see from the balcony, air co was strong, shower also. Had large lockers to store luggage with locks so that was good. Insisted on using masks in hotel
Staff was really nice. The check in and out was smooth. Communication with the hotel was quick. The apartment was clean and spacious.
Great hotel. Ideally located, close to the centre but quiet at night. Staff really helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is in an excellent location very close to the town. Staff were super nice and amazing. Great breakfast too

Best hotel and staff in Greece! If you want to relax and have a great weekend away, look no further
Perfect hotel, perfect staff, perfect breakfast.
Booked the premium bungalow and it was magical! The location was perfect, you open your door and you see the pool and beyond the pool the gorgeous beach and sea. Staff was very friendly. The premium bungalows seemed to be built recently, especially compared to the average greek rooms the furniture and interior design felt modern and new.
Amazing hotel, seamless check in and out, helpful staff. All inclusive food is great, drinks are as to be expected- you can order premium brands/wine and pay extra which we did. Brilliant massage!
very helpful and kind stuff plus my room was beautiful and clean.
