What a fabulous place to stay at the eastern end of Crete. I think they gave us the nicest view room and the view was truly wonderful. So was the accommodation and the facilties in the accommodation. The location was convenient for seeing sites in the area. The pool was awesome and the grounds were great for our little dog to run around. The onsite restaurant serves delicious food a very reasonable prices. Really loved Emerald and totally enjoyed our stay.

We experienced true hospitality during our holiday! The resort is beautiful, with amazing views both from the rooms as well as the common spaces and pools. Most members of the staff were warm hearted and genuinely took good care of us! Checking was breeze, the front desk staff arranged things while we enjoyed refreshments (they even upgraded us without asking - recognizing that we were regular Marriott Bonvoy customers). When we went off the property the arranged our visit including the taxi back. The team at breakfast was amazing!! Agyro welcomed us with a smile and made sure we had reservations for dinner and even gave us recommendations if we were going off the property. Elsa and Aggeliki were especially sweet to our son going above and beyond! They have 3 pools 1 for adults, 1 shallow pool for babies and 1 for families. They also have direct access to the Aegean sea with beds looking onto the sea. At the poolside Chrsitina was especially helpful and took special care of our son. Last but not the least Manos the director of operations was ever present and made sure that our stay was awesome!

Plaka is equipped with 2 mini markets which provide all basic necessities; larger supermarkets available in Kalyves and Souda. We ate a number of times in Plaka, Elpis restaurant being our favourite with excellent food and lovely staff. Taki’s is also very good.

Plaka is beautiful and very traditional. Excellent restaurants closeby. Amazing views across to Almyrida and also views of the mountain. We loved all of the restaurants and had great food in the four thst we went to. We had great souvlaki and moussaka. House wine in all were really good. We used the pool in Emerald apartments and just brought drinks while we were there, the view from the pool wS amazing. Very easy to get round Plaka, however we never walked back from Almyrida as it is very steep so had a taxi, 6 euros.

Plaka is a beautiful spot that has stunning views of the coast and Almyridia. It has a great selection of local restaurants and shops and is only a short walk down to the busier strip of restaurants, facilities and beaches. We had the most amazing time and the hosts could not do enough for us, it was so wonderful. A true home-from-home with special touches along the whole trip. I would highly recommend it to anyone asking. We will definitely revisit the special accommodation that we found in Plakias also, a great place to tour around the Chania region and beyond in Creta.

Plaka is a sweet little village close to beaches.

Plaka is a sweet little village close to beaches. It feels more authentic that staying in the resort areas and the restaurants are more traditional and much better prices! We found Plaka to be a very good base for exploring this part of Crete - it is only half an hour into Chania and it is also possible to drive to lots of beaches in a few minutes, one of them is only a ten minute walk away.

Can’t rave enough about these villas. Absolutely beautiful with the best host ever. This place is spotlessly clean and has everything you need including a pool. The location is great with amazing views. You can walk to shops and restaurants. Would say hire a car for further trips and explore this beautiful place. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. We had regular treats of melon and warm dishes, advice on car hire and where to visit, they were fantastic!

The house, pool and location were fantastic. A very private property, quiet and well appointed. The proximity to Almirida beach, the local supermarket and taverns in Plaka made for an easy stay. The views from the balconies were lovely. Air conditioning was essential as it was hot but the house was very comfortable.

The villa is really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good air conditioning and a nice pool to cool off in. Walking distance (5-10 mins) to Plaka village square with some nice local restaurants and supermarkets. But the best thing is the incredible views and sunsets which make this such a stunning setting.

The view from the balcony and the pool area is amazing! The room was clean and had everything we needed. Comfy bed. The location is great, in a calm area, but within walking distance of a few supermarkets and good restaurants (and also the beach in Almyrida).
