It’s a new hotel, and well designed with everything you need in the room! It is also quite and very close to the port! Within a minute you reach the sea by foot. The owner, Fotis, is very kind and very accommodating. It’s saved on my list for favourite places, for when I am back to Spetses!

The breakfast had a wide variety of food! Loved the breakfast area overlooking the water! Stunning views! Loved that there was a free shuttle to and fro to the ferry express upon pickup and back to port! Staff were extremely polite and caring!

I rented a scooter.

I rented a scooter. Near the Orloff there is a very good bakery to buy a Tyropita to bring to the beaches in case one still wants a snack after the incredibly good breakfast. One of the most beautiful beaches is Agia Paraskevi. Other people go by bicycle or Elettric Bicycle, some walk, some jog. There are incredible places to discover. All choices for dining out according to your taste. I liked traditional Greek food at a tavern called Bouboulina, but I explored a lot.

You need to find time to discover the island and walk...

You need to find time to discover the island and walk through all the little streets. I don't necessarily recommend a walking tour of the island, like we did, but with enough water and the right shoes, it can be a pleasant adventure.

It was a great mix of local charm and tourism.

It was a great mix of local charm and tourism. Really easy to get around. Local people friendly with nods, smiles and hellos. Always felt safe. Beaches were great but wear thongs as the pebbles are brutal.

Nice beaches, nice vibes, beautiful buildings/architecture, nice strolls and walks, several cultural and historic references, nice restaurants, friendly people, perfect for a short getaway from Athens. Transportation is tricky though, the only working option is a scooter that needs to be booked much in advance. Also, if it's windy, some nice beaches are not easily accessible

The lovely authentic town but mainly the lovely authentic people made Spetses special. Take a horse and carriage ride, visit Marina beach (paradise beach) eat ice cream, swim and swim some more! Visit the museums, Learn about Bouboulina. Enjoy this lovely Greek island.

Spetses is a very relaxed island with a picturesque port and...

Spetses is a very relaxed island with a picturesque port and lots of nice restaurants and cafes. The beaches are good however unless you have transport there it can be difficult to get to beaches as there is an erratic single private bus service. While Spetses generally is car free the proliferation of motorbikes and scooters are an irritant but of course local people need to get around.

Boutique hotel that delivers the very highest standards and customer service on all levels I would not hesitate to strongly recommend this hotel It’s only a few minutes walk from the town/port where there are bars and taverna’s. The beach is a nice easy stroll. The pool at the hotel is kept spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent, it set us up for the day. Nothing was too much trouble before and during our stay. If we visit Spetses again it’s the only place we would stay

Villa Kalomira is a stunning, family-run hotel. The host (Kalomira), and her family are very welcoming and give you lots of tips on what to do while in Spetses. The breakfast was so nicely prepared and laid out, with lots of variety. The hotel itself is exactly what you want while in Greece. Very traditional. Easy walk into town. Couldn't fault it for the price.

It's the perfect place for those looking for authentic Greece. Before the days of expensive crowded Resorts and hotels where all the rooms look identical. I have the impression that those who criticise this place should only spend their time in 4 and 5 star all inclusive hotels. These people will never appreciate such a place.

Top family run hotel, very cosy, very calm, just perfect! Great vue from the balcony, very good breakfast and especially we appreciated the possibilty to have breakfast until 12 noon! If one day back on Spetses we will come again! Thanks to Tonia and family for this very nice experience, was a pleasure to stay at your place!
