The Gardens Gallery Hotel is a first class run boutique hotel where management and staff is committed to detail. You feel this the moment you enter the lobby. Very close access to the beach and at the base of the pine forest. Also short walking to the town center, restaurants and shopping... it is an excellent location. The professional and friendly staff prepares a wonderful breakfast, offering a variety of choices for their guests. Having your breakfast and coffee, especially at the outdoor patio located at the base of the pine forest, is a wonderful way to start your day. Quality service to their guest, cleanliness and a modern facility is what makes the Gardens Gallery Hotel a must stay when you visit Xylokastro. My family had a very enjoyable stay and will be back on future visits.

It’s a small seaside town that might be more of a summer destination as in winter it was a little dull, many shops closed. The town itself is not a destination I would recommend, but if you have a car it is very easy to explore the surrounding area and there you’ll find plenty of spectacular views and places you didn’t want to miss!

Xylokastro is a lovely town with nice beaches and a lot of nice restaurants and shops. You can enjoy a swim during the day at the main beach near the marina or at Pefkias in front of the forest and at night you can stroll along the beachfront and sit down at nice restaurants, ice cream shops and bars. It isn't too noisy and the whole place has a nice feel about it.

We will not return as really nothing much to do.
We will not return as really nothing much to do. Beach areas are all rocky or stones. Some beach side facilities but not much choice. The town is a bit sad with no shops other than 4 or 5 chemists ? no real atmosphere or character. The sea is reasonable clear but lots of stray dogs around and lots of plastic and litter left on the beaches.

Xylokastron is the next town along from Sykia.
Xylokastron is the next town along from Sykia. It has a very good selection of restaurants - all of a good standard. A special mention must be made to Taste Modern - fantastic food at reasonable prices.
Xylokastron is approx 1 mile from Sykia ( where the apartment is located) and is a typical greek town. Fairly low in tourists and the tourists that are there are primarily Greek. It has a number of large Supermarkets for provisions.
We absolutely loved the house! Tall ceilings & gorgeous antique furniture beautifully combined with modern day comforts. The detail in the decor kept us mesmerized during our three night stay. The house is spacious, has an aristocratic feel to it, meticulously cleaned and only a short, easy walk to the super market, bakery and main plateia of Xylokastro. I stayed with my two daughters, (14 & 18) and my father. All of us were impressed. Great value for the money too.
The facilities were superb! The perfect place to unwind and relax next to the sea and close to Athens. The Sikelianos villa is stunning. The area of the hotel, just by the beach and next to the forest makes it one of a kind.
The sea view form the room, especially during sunrise was amanig.
The staff all over the hotel was very polite.
A great add is the breakfast buffet with a huge variety of freshly made meals to choose from.
The staff were very very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful! We needed dropping at the train station which the host very kindly did for us, and when you have lots of luggage is really appreciated. The location is superb, about a 30 second walk from the sea front, right in the centre of Xylokastro, couldn't have been better.

The property is in front of the Pefkias forest so you have easy access for a morning walk, enjoy a coffee or go swimming to the beach. Our room had sea view and it was wonderful.

we had the top floor room with wonderful view
all the staff is eager to help and meet our needs
breakfast is nice and
it was not warm enough to use the pool or go into the see.
but we will come back.
great restaurants, beauty salon and cafes very close
Stayed one night as a stopover on Gulf of Corinth. Nice clean room with small balcony overlooking the sea. Modern, well- designed hotel. Very good breakfast.
The town lacks the wow factor of many places in the Peleponnes but a good stopover after a long drive.
It's fabulous when you have children, the apartment room is super comfy, it has a private beach with paddle boards free to use, pool, the food in the restaurant is very good and the staff is fantastic. It has all we needed for a two day stay in your trip :)
This boutique hotel is nicely situated on the waterfront, and my room had a great view of the water. I was glad to open the windows to hear the sound of the water. The little grill restaurant next door had delicious food and was handily situated.
Nice sea view rooms in front of the sea. Staff with a smile and happy to help with everything. We enjoyed our stay although it was a short one. The hotel is just next to Pefkias, highly recommend to take a walk in the pine forest.
The rooms were perfectly satisfactorily. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, in fact the best in our 10 days ins Greece. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices so that no one would feel left out.
Beautiful home with plenty of room for the entire family. House was clean and well kept. Parking spot was also a great feature. Located within minutes of the beach and restaurants. Great location.
One of those rare places which gives you a home- coming feeling. Definitely, if coming back to Xylokastro, it's Sugar Home. Thank You Katarina and Vamgelis
