    The location is amazing.

The location is amazing. The lookout at the top of the main park waterfall is a short walk from the premises. The quiet serenity of the area is remarkable. Getting up early for a walk in the misty paths was a true treasure. The room is truly comfortable and homely with all amenities required. Host Ante is a great cook and also shared ideas and things to do with our upcoming stays in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, which helps a lot in especially choosing a restaurant. I would truly recommend this stay. It is a great location.

Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops...

Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops but mostly cottages/apartments for rent, but with a few restaurants. It is very close to entrance 3 (15 minutes by foot), so you do not need the car for your stay. From entrance 3 you can either walk or take the boat to the other end (included in the daily pass of the national park - book in advance!). It is a lot less touristic, but this also means you will not find many places to buy food (even inside the park) or eat in, hence a good accommodation which provides this is very helpful.

Plitvica selo is a small village right next to the P3 entrance of the Plitvice lakes. It is a quite village in nature without any stores. There are only a few places you can eat or have a drink within walking distance. For more choices you need a car. It maybe difficult to be in Plitvica selo without a car. Great place for outdoor activities such as walking, hiking and biking.

This small village was originally a dairy farming community...

This small village was originally a dairy farming community tucked away in a small glen among the mountains of Plitvice National Park. A few miles off the main highway, it is accessed by a lightly trafficked country road with occasional breathtaking views of the canyon below and the river flowing out of the Plitvice Lakes. The inns, in keeping with UNESCO rules, are the original historic farm buildings, which have been renovated on the interior. The inns are within walking distance of a lesser known and lightly used third entrance to the park, from which one can begin exploring this beautiful National Park.

Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes.

Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes. We stayed here while it was raining which did not stop us from enjoying beautiful sceneries and nature overall. We bought raincoats for decent price easily. Definitely coming back for nicer weather. Place is the heaven.

In my opinion, this is the perfect location to stay if you are visiting the Plitvice Lakes. You can park your car for free and walk to the Gate 3 entrance to the Park. Plitvica Selo is so serene and you can hear the stream and the waterfall the whole day. I will stay here again if I come the next time.

This is one of the favourite places we have ever stayed. It is incredibly peaceful and a beautiful location. We really enjoyed sitting outside each evening having dinner. The staff were fantastic and our 7 year old loved all of the games and activities dotted around the site. It is a few minutes from the park entrance and the staff helped us plan a route around the lakes that avoided crowds. Was a much better place to stay than the generic hotels in the park.

The staff was so kind and hospitable. The hotel is nested in the calm forrest on the outskirts of the park. Nearest entrance is within 5 minutes walking distance. The property is so thought through all made in wood and natural materials with a playground and a mini zoo in idyllic and authentic surroundings. The on-site restaurant is really good both for the breakfast buffet and the a la carte. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Ante was very hospitable, welcoming and approachable and gave us a lot of good tips for exploring the lakes. We also appreciated our own air conditioner in the room, which is unusual for Europe but very much appreciated given we usually find European hotels to be too hot. The hotel is very handy for visiting the park being able to use the side entrance and avoiding the crowds at the other entrances. Wish we had stayed another night!

The place is so quiet and beautiful! The rooms are so new, i loved all the details Be wear that the kitchen is equipped! You can make yourself a dinner. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and we don’t regret it ! We order mushroom soap and cauliflower soap both were so delicious! We also ordered three main dishes: beef steak, boneless chicken and Trout fish cooked in paper- all were exceptional!! The staff is so polite!

The chalet looks amazing. It is placed directly in the middle of National Park. This means you don't need to drive anywhere with the car and you can enter the park nearby. Hosts were AMAZING. Very kind, polite, always smiling. Our room was very spacious and well equipped. Parking is free of charge and right in front of the chalet. Internet is also very good. I would recommend this to anyone and next time will come back again.

The host family cooks home-cooked meals and the family is exceptionally nice and takes care of every guest like family. Insider tips to see the park without the crowds are just one of the ways he takes care of you. Our car battery died while we visited and the host arranged for everything to be fixed while we enjoyed the nearby national park. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time.... and we did.

What an incredible location, hidden away near an unlisted 3rd entrance to Plitvice Lakes. This is a family run lodge and when you are hear, you are treated like a favorite family member. There is incredible, local cuisine available for dinner & breakfast with an extra charge. Well worth the extra cost! The AC worked super well and the bed was very comfortable!

Small and nice hotel, spacious rooms and good and clean facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Milica, thanks a lot for taking care of us! We had a great time in the NP using your advice. Great place to start exploring Plitvice Lakes. Secret 3rd entrance is 400m away to beat the crowds. I will stay here again on my next visit and recommend friends.

We had a great a time in this family hosted Villa. Maja, Marco and the rest of the hosts were very kind and polite. Marco spent time with us to plan our tour to the park and it was really the best route. The location near E3 to the park seem to be perfect location to start the tour.

This is a lovely rustic hotel within easy walking distance of Plitvica park entrance number 3, and ideal place to begin and end a tour of the park on foot, bus and boat. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The evening meal was delicious and convivial.

Delicious dinner in the on site restaurant. Breakfast had so many choices I wanted to have a second one! Staff were helpful telling us about the “secret” third entrance to the national park in Plitvica Selo and running us through the best itinerary.

Great location next to Lakes. Nicely designed accommodation and nice 'campus' of the hotel. Very friendly and helpful check in staff who were helpful to guide us on how to walk the lakes and lesser known pathways!

In general it was quite good but could be better. We liked the location, the look of the hotel and area. The staff was friendly and helpful though we didn't have any special requests. The breakfast was good.
