A nice town in the vicinity of Zadar, easily accessible by car AND has its own charms - so if you're only looking for a place to sleep near the bigger city, think again: Sukošan is worth checking out, especially some areas like the harbour near the town centre, and the luxurious Marina Dalmacija nearby. Sukosan is a small seaside village near Zadar, picturesque with lively buzz. I was lucky to be there with my friend on Thursday evening, when the main square is echoing with live music performance. We had dinner in the local restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. Sukosan is beautiful. Our accommodation was so near the waterfront and our balcony had lovely views of the sunset. The town is perfect with a lovely atmosphere and not too busy. Everything we were looking for and a great base for travelling to the nearby areas. We even had a ride on the tourist road train one evening. Wonderful!Guest review byJill

There is also parking space available in gated front yard so that was a plus. Nearest beach Ždralovac is lovely, clean, has a lot of natural shade, playground and since it's quite long it wasn't overly crowded like beaches tend to get during the summer in Croatia. The accommodation was super clean, spacious. There are three full-sized bedrooms, a large living room, a bathroom with a toilet and a separate toilet. Blackout blinds and especially insect nets on all windows are perfect. The terrace is also very pleasant and spacious.
