Great location, you're literally in the centre of the city; near restaurants, cafes, the Grand Mosque. The receptionists (esp Deby & Sipora) were very friendly and helpful. My room was large, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The water pressure was also very good.

This is my second time in Pontianak, and I really like the...

This is my second time in Pontianak, and I really like the city. I find it to be very charming with a surprising number of activities. It would be a great retirement location. My wife is from Borneo and I am an American. There is just something about Pontianak that draws both of us. Driving in Asia and being a pedestrian can be very dangerous. I won't even mention Jakarta traffic, but people drive so politely and make it easy to walk around the city. I do hope the Indonesian government address the burning season the haze was awful and stayed in our lunges for a week. We enjoyed our trip regardless, but it would have been so much better without the burning smell and terrible air quality.

Not much to do.

Not much to do. Malls were mediocre, food was not great, even lost my wallet and other items there with no help. Overall, i think batam would be a better option, at least night life at batam is better, with much better shopping options. Or Jakarta.

I like shopping complex & shopped at Matahari & wacoal. Wacoal bra in Pontianak cheap. Secondly I like dinner place like Kampung Kecil, very nice place. Do not miss this place when you travel to Pontianak.

City full of historic sites, amazing architecture friendly...

City full of historic sites, amazing architecture friendly locals and delicious street food. Eye catching greenery around and wonderful places to visit. Easy to travel across to Malaysia by road, There is regular bus services between Pontianak 🇮🇩 to Kuching (Malaysia) 🇲🇾 Also easy to find flight within Indonesia 🇮🇩 from Pontianak airport that is located near to city centre approximately 15 minutes 🚖 ride.
