Staff is amazing - helped us in every move! Hotel has nice pool and nice clean rooms. But the most important is near by area - rice fields!! It is beautiful! Bonus tip - choose 2nd floor as your room. In this case you will have great view from your bed ;) Restaurant food is local and fresh - we enjoyed breakfasts and dinners here. Area near by is great - rice fields, monkey forest. Overall experience is perfect!

Located 2.4 miles from Kotaraja, Mu Homestay has accommodations with a garden, a terrace and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. Our stay with Mu was amazing! We stayed originally for two nights, but decided to add a third. When we stayed with Mu we felt like family. Everything about our stay was personal and attentive. My wife and I were sad to leave after the relationships we made with Mu and his nephew nine. From taking us to waterfalls, rice fields, sharing a family dinner, enjoying a local stick fighting competition and using their personal barber, this stay left an impact that we will cherish. I am excited to see what Mu plans to do in the future in his small village of Tetebatu. Anyone reading this should try to stay with Mu for an authentic Lombok experience that will satisfy more than just a place to stay.

With river views, Vanilla Garden is located in Tetebatu and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden and terrace. I rarely take time to write thorough reviews, but these people deserve it too much. Rooms are minimalistic but very clean and to be honest, you won’t spend much of your time in your hut anyway. There is so much to do outside! And we just wished the sun was out longer. The staff is like a big family, everybody laughing together and greeting you on your way (without being intrusive). On day 1 we’ve been guided by Aji and Adam throughout the monkey forest, tiny local villages, stunning rice fields (easily competing with Ubud’s) and canyons and waterfalls. They were really caring, gentle, and Aji speaks good English so it’s easy to learn about local customs. When I crashed my racing drone into a bamboo tree down in a 20m-deep canyon in the middle of the jungle, they both ran down without notice to recover it, and then gathered 10 men from the nearby villages to search for the most GoPro that was attached to it. And they found it! Wonderful people... In the light they made a bonfire and we all sang local songs on the guitar. We had the best of times with Aji, Adam, Chili, Mahpul and we couldn’t recommend this place enough! It’s only one month old, hence the limited reviews.
Just relax with nice atmosphere. Beautiful nature all around. Locals still living their life uninterrupted by tourism. Simple life, reminded me of my childhood growing up in small town. Had mixed weather for 6 days with no abundance of sunlight. Sunbathing spots are often blocked by trees, so book a nice villa with pool, otherwise just enjoy nature!
There is a monkey forest where monkeys are still wild and won‘t climb your shoulders or sth like that. It wasn‘t touristic at all in the forest we were the only people with our local guide. There are amazing hidden waterfalls and rice terraces and it‘s perfectly quite, so you are away from the noice of the more touristic areas for a while. Locals are also very friendly
Wonderful!!!! We loved the accommodatiom and the owner and staff, so super nice and helpful! The cottages are comfortable and have amazing views over the jungle and volcano. Free breakfast was to die for. Would 100% come back!
We loved the local people and handicrafts. The hidden waterfall cave and paddy fields. The National Park has a range of fascinating plant varieties and spices and of course, the Ebony Leaf Monkey in its natural habitat.
They say ‘come as guest, leave as family’ that feeling is more then true!! We’ve had a wonderful stay an it actually was even too short!! Lunch and dinner are served in traditional ways and if you like spicy food, you can even try all their sambals! The bungalows are located about 200meters off the road, a steep walk down but easily to get there! There is much to see and the family is eager to show you around! Even the possibility to climb to the second summet of Mount Rinjani, though we didn’t do that. One thing to keep in mind, is that there are a lot of mosques around that start early in the morning. Some earplugs for a goodnight sleep are then a must, but the sounds of the the frogs and crickets make it up!!
You can see several waterfalls, traditional handcraft made of bamboo, handweaving, pottery, Meal is delicious in each warung. Especially juicy grilled carps. Air is dryer and fresh thanks to altitude around 600m, thus no need aircondition to survive the night.

Me and my friend had a great time staying here in Tetebatu. The owners and family were super nice and helpful, and we also had a lovely tour around the ricefields, the waterfall and monkey forest. It was a great guesthouse with simple but clean and spacefull bedrooms. We especcially liked the dinners together with our hosts who were great company! Memorable experience!
