Muskerry Arms is located in the centre of Blarney. This traditional property offers a restaurant, bar and a lounge. The room and bathroom was spotless. It was a lovely comfortable room with TV, tea making facility, a microwave and an iron and ironing board. I had a a very good nights sleep without any disturbances from fellow guests or from outside . For dinner the chicken wings starter was generous and very tasty. The fish and chips was very good and the apple tart dessert was delicious. There was a good selection of wines and spirits The breakfast menu was varied with plenty of choice . I opted for poached eggs on toast and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and helpful and came across as people who really enjoyed their job. Nothing was too much trouble. A special thank you to Aine .

Blarney is,a small village close to Cork city. There is public transport every 20 mins. It is also central for visiting other areas in Cork. Blarney Castle is also a lovely place to visit, the gardens are beautiful. There is a lovely woodland walk & lake walk. You could happily spend a couple of hours there exploring all the beautiful areas. We did. Lots of flora & fauna. There are plenty of places to eat for such a small village. We had a love meal in the Claddagh restaurant, also the Blarney hotel is very good value. The food is very high standard.
Blarney is a lovely little village. We travel there every six weeks for a dental appt so we don’t do the tourist thing. There is plenty to see and do with the castle etc, a great charity shop, a number of restaurants and pubs and the woolen mills has plenty of shopping opportunities. We ate in the mill restaurant that has a great Sunday lunch, some gluten free options. A little light on vegan options beyond some salads. There’s also a great kids playground about 15 mins walk from the hotel.
We went into the town of Blarney and spent most of the day at the castle which was fascinating - interesting historically, the ruins well maintained and beautiful gardens. It was a short drive into Cork at night to go to listen to irish music at Sin E Pub and a great meal at Gallaghers
Went to visit the castle but found it massively over priced, €18 per adult! Blarney, however, is quite close to cork city so I would recommend going there for a day trip rather than the over priced castle
As above. Visited Midleton Distillery, Cloyne Cathedral, Mallow, Doneraile Park, Buttevant Friary, Kanturk Castle, in Cork City, St Mary Cathedral, St Anne Shandon, St Finbarr South, St Finbarr Hospital (former Workhouse), city wall foundations on south, personal genealogical connections with places. Didn’t visit Blarney locations as both of us visited them before. Ate once at Lantern Chinese Restaurant, otherwise takeaways.
Very historic!! Would recommend dinner at the Claddagh Restaurant...really great dinner...had the lamb roast with fresh veggies..and very affordable...great service and very friendly!! Would go back there no problem!!
Blarney
It was really close to the village and Blarney Castle! The breakfast was delicious and the hospitality was top notch. The couple who runs this were very friendly. The room was very clean and the owners were available if there was anything else you needed! There was also tea, coffee and water available in the room and you had 24 hour access to the kitchen which was a nice touch

The location absolutely cannot be beat. Literally a 2min walk to the entrance to Blarney castle, so I was able to easily do the entire grounds in about 1.5hrs since most tourists hadn't even made it to the area that early. Facilities were very clean and it was actually not so noisy in my room (granted, I did get a 3rd floor room).

Book early. So the suite of 2 bedrooms came available unexpectadly, so we were lucky. Hotels in cork were 400 for 1 night for one bedroom and we got 2 with à kitchionette. The beds are comfy, it has its own door, parking and the host vicky leàves you alone. Its close to a garage wìth hot food which opens at 6am in blarnèy

The hosts were delightful and the house was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and there was a big variety to choose from. Our room was charming and had probably had the roomiest bathroom of any of our stays Ireland. Plenty of free parking available and just a five minute drive to the pubs and Castle in Blarney.
The hotel is fantastic! very stylish, comfortable, the BEST location, and the friendliest people!! The things I look for in reviews are: comfortable bed, great location, family friendly, good food, and friendly and helpful staff. The Blarney Castle Hotel met all those!

The hosts were very friendly and so accommodating. Perfect location for quick access to both Blarney and Cork
Surrounding areas lovely so close to the village. And a stroll to Blarney Castle.
