Beautiful sea views and fireplace in Dunfanaghy features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Dunfanaghy, 1.2 km from Killahoey Beach. Very nice, large flat in the PERFECT location - on a super quiet road (at least in October), just off Main Street and a two-minute walk to many pubs and restaurants. The location faces the bay, offering an easy, convenient and awesome walk along the beach - to the sea (with dramatically changing scenery due to the large diurnal tidal fluctuations, also viewed from the sitting areas at the front of the flat). The house is quite comfortable and contains everything needed for a short or long stay, including a small wood stove/fireplace. Convenient parking is just outside the front door along the edge of the quiet roadway. We highly recommend this accommodation and it would definitely be our #1 choice when we return to beautiful Dunfanaghy someday! Thank you for allowing us to visit Gillian - we wish we could have met in person. :-)

Very busy this time due to heatwave & the fact people had missed out on earlier holidays this year. The beaches in Co Donegal are fabulous. We ate in “ The Cove”, Arnold’s hotel & The Shannon hotel Yes, easy to get round Dunfanaghy - just a long Main Street. We would avoid week- ends too busy!
Ended up staying an extra night! Close to the town but when you leave the town you benefit from escaping the noise and traffic to tranquil surroundings. Lovely rooms and great facilities. Made to feel very welcome and a relaxed atmosphere. Well organised and breakfast was fantastic too.
The Cove restaurant was a very pleasant experience, beautiful food and friendly owner and staff. You have to try the fish. Then the beach, what a beautiful day we had, friendly people too. Pity we couldn't try the horse riding because of covid.
Very beautiful location ... relaxing with wonderful serene views of Sheephaven bay ... an excellent location for our Irish Linen luxury Heritage designs photoshoot & introduction to our new Collections ... Weather was a little disappointing on the second day but still enjoyed exploring the village of Dunfanaghy .. beautiful Irish Craft shop on Main Street ... also enjoyed Oyster’s restaurant and bar for a light lunch and glass of wine. Definitely planning to return to the beautiful Shandon Hotel very soon for a relaxing break ...and to walk and paint the stunning sea views in oils ... first class and excellent hair salon and spa ... Thank you very much for a very comfortable trip.
We have been going to Dunfanaghy for many years. It is typically Donegal being relaxed and stress free. We love that it is close to Glenveigh National Park, the Atlantic Drive and Letterkenny. If you haven’t been, then give it a try.
The drive to get there along the Wild Atlantic Way before you arrive in this beautiful town. Although quiet for this time of year...and the weather, it is a wee hidden gem of a place with much to see surrounding it too. It has plenty of lively bars and places to eat.
Dunfanaghy
This place was a slice of Paradise. It's more like a quaint hotel than a B&B. I traveled back to visit home in Ireland with my partner from Texas. He had never been and was amazed by this place too. HIGHLY recommend it. The staff were really friendly. Breakfast was gorgeous. The first morning I had a full Irish, then next I had smoked Atlantic salmon and scrambled eggs all of which were cooked to perfection. They also had interesting things like vanilla seaweed pudding.
Perfect location to walk to the cafes, bars and shops of Dunfanaghy. Could look right out the window at a spectacular view of Sheephaven Bay. Nice to have a washing machine and drying rack. Stove was available for an evening fire, but we never used it. The owner checked with us a couple of times to make sure we were happy with the accommodation .
Apartment was, really comfortable and clean with all the amenities you wanted. It was just off the main square in Dunfanaghy, 2 mins walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Ann was very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Will definitely stay here again.
